  1. I dont trust arsenal either, they were toothless against us and will be similar today. We need to ignore the others and just win. Beating west ham by 2 would likely do it. If we spending the day relaying on arsenal, I'll be in bits
  2. If we stay up, I'd go after calumn wilson from bournemouth.
  3. You cant count ifs and buts else you have to consider the goal sheff united scored against us, the last minutes goals we did score against brighton and watford. For me, everyone has these moments in a season, they tend to balance out over the season.
  4. I'm still incredibly nervous, I think watford will win, cant see much fight from arsenal and we might need to win by more than 1, something we really struggle ejth
  5. I'm convinced hes a better player with Reina behind him. I've no stats to back it up but I think he needs and recognises the authority of a senior keeper. It helps him reduce mistakes.
  6. I cant see why he would stay as a backup, he surely has limited season left playing, doesn't make sense to spend them on the bench.
  7. Or do you look at last night, worry about congestion and realise the season is over bar the fa cup. Make the decision to rest your best players. None of us know, we should prepare for the worst from arsenal and just concentrate on beating west ham.
  8. I seem to think their record against watford is poor anyway and I just cant see then being up for it. Nothing to play for and could rest players ahead of the cup final. For me we need to forget about them, beat west ham by 2 and that should be enough. Anything less and it could be nervy.
  9. Along way to go but smith was superb last night, an advert for sticking by your manager during tough times. We were resilient and entertaining, the perfect mix. Now back down to earth, west ham will not be easy and I think we need 3 points. Great to be in control though. Time for Jack's parting gift
  10. Agree with all but the arsenal part, a poor performance last night, not sure why they will be better sunday.
  11. Another great game, links the play so well.
  12. Basically we need to win 4 games and hope it enough, this is nothing new. The marker has always been around 40 points, unfortunately it looks really unlikely for villa. My only ask is that we go down fighting
  13. If we lost one nil I'd give you that but come on, weve been terrible. No excuse to not motivate the team.
  14. Point 3. If we were capable of playing defensively and winning I could understand your logic. However we play, we lose therefore why not try and entertain me.
  15. Feels like the story of our season. Good solid play didnt take chances, now behind. Never a pen though
  16. Point 1. Yes and if I was better at searching I'd show you. About 70% of this site predicted a finish in the bottom 5. Like many others I was optimistic of 16th or 17th but also realistic. If you're going to finish in the bottom 5, you'll likely spend time in the bottom 3. I was excited but I also know how difficult it is to gel a team, I recall John Mcgjnn talking about his first 6 months at the club and how he didnt have a clue what his midfield partners would do. Magnify that across a new squad and you have a problem. Still I was excited though and optimistic. Point 2, I'm better at dealing with losing, I certainly dont enjoy it. I do love winning. Probably one of the reasons I learnt that I'm really not bothered by the premier league. My hatred of the premier league started 10 years ago though when I realised whatever we did, another club with more money could undo it in a heartbeat. That's probably a football problem but magnified in the premier league. Point 3. I've said before, I'd rather be entertained. At the moment, we are not creating anything, trying to defend with our backs to the wall but ultimately still losing. If were going to lose, I like to go down with a bit of entertainment, maybe a goal or 2 to celebrate. Is that so wrong?
  17. Correct, stop feeling hard done by because Watford beat bottom of the league. It's time to rely on ourselves and win some games.
  18. In which case your right, well below par. I thought wed be down there, spending most of the season in the bottom 3 so results wise I got what I expected. I'm more disappointed by the performances, I can deal with losing, i like attacking football and an attacking intent.
  19. Where did you expect us to finish and what was your target?
  20. I think hes a good player, absolute fine for a struggling prem club, unfortunately he plays in a position where you hope to have better.
  21. I think it's tough to sack him on that basis unless he explicitly turned down strikers. I'd suggest that is more a failing of the collective group. If you're sacking him, it should be linked to results and performances and that you dont believe he is the man to turn it around.
  22. Result aside, watford really did not look great. Norwich should have got the draw.
  23. Needs to stay in the side but also needs to keep performing like he did today. Got forward well, linked up well with grealish, McGinn and luiz.
  24. Not a bad showing from him. Solid performance.
