  1. you'll see exactly the same behaviour at villa. Some of our fans are embarrassing.
  2. Well so far he has scored 3 goals, fitted in well, the fans like him, the players really like him, the staff really like him and he's worked really hard. Doesn't look like he is going anywhere if he keeps it up. not a surprise for me so far. fully expect him to work hard until times get a bit tough. I think his true colours will shine through.
  3. why are people suggestion Laursen, were not **** newcastle.
  4. im not to bothered about where players come from or where they play. Id just like a manager who takes us to wembley, qualifies for europe and challenges in the league.
  5. not sure if its been mentioned but does anyone know anything about the sort of coaches/managers that Randy has employed for the browns. Has he taken experienced coaches? controversial characters? up and coming coaches? Might give us a rough idea about the sort of person we should expect.
  6. i went for a focus estate. have had the piss ripped out of me by most of my mates but they come crawling back when its time for one of them to move house. Been a great family car to be fair.
  7. good stuff. What job you got fella? Weirdly, after 9 months and 1684 applications I got offered 2. I've chosen an unadvertised job from an old workmate. National Accounts Manager for a shelving and storeage company, probably not the best job of the 2 but I get to move back to Shropshire rather than move to Oxford edit - anybody want a 4 bed detached in Wigan what shelving and storage company? im in the old shelving and storage industry.
  8. i think 40-50k per week for a backup left back is how we get in this mess in the first place.
  9. trying to work out whats worse, a transfer window on VT board or a religious thread on OT board. Im off to the Tech Room to tell them how much i like my iphone.
  10. i suspect if you asked for 15 - 10 M plus those two you'd be laughed out. Especially as the only offer weve had is 20m inc add ons. Also need to work out how we accomodate two people on the wages of Santa Cruz and Ireland into our wage structure.
  11. i dont even think Beckford is a first teamer to be honest. Free transfer from League 1, i dread to think what would happen on this board if that was MONs first signing of the summer.
  12. Did he elbow anyone :winkold: ? Do you think Beckford is going to be a hit? I noticed he scored tonight. No Still early days but he looks pretty decent. He is very quick and has really good movement, gets himself in good areas. Think he'll be most good against bottom half and away from home on the break. I think his main problem so far is his passing, although this could be him still getting used to the team. His touch is 50/50 - one minute it'll be good and next minute terrible, but that can be worked on. He works really hard too, considering everyone says he was really lazy at Leeds. I like what I see and I'll wager he will definitely get some goals this year. i think this is what everyone at Leeds most disliked. Every time he was on the telly you could see this level of effort. Good luck with him, i suspect he'll be sold next summer into the championship.
  13. As I've already said in another thread .... ... the background context is that Spurs have already spent 7.5m (not an insignificant sum of money) on signing the Brazilian U-21 captain, Sandro. Beyond that, I wouldn't take most of Harry's comments on transfers at face value. Any club wishing to sign players is hardly going say "yeah, we've got some money", since that won't help the cause of getting a decent bargain. Harry says lots of things, many of them mind-games or throw-away comments: I'm pretty sure Spurs can find the cash - without necessarily neediing to first sell - if the right player becomes available at a fair price. ... I think City are having an effect on the transfer market for many Prem clubs, because no one is willing or able to complete with them on price and some selling clubs, players and agents are holding out for a possible City bid. So probably not much will happen until City have completed their spending splurge (or until the last few days of the window arrive and it dawns on some agents/club that their player is not getting a mega-bucks offer from City). IMO Spurs are not in great need of changing their squad - because the depth is pretty reasonable and most of the current players will likely improve again further next season given the ages of most of the players and accumulating Prem experience. Ideally I'd like to see us sign another CB (because of the Woodgate situation), a striker to replace Keane (assuming he's sold) and a pacy midfield attacker to provide further options. But it won't be a disaster if none of these things happen. all fair comments Glaston, i dont think your in a far different position to us to be honest. For all the comments im fairly sure that money would be available if the right player came along and i expect us to be a better side last year as the likes of Young, Gabby and maybe even Milner continue to improve. Personally i think you should look to improve if you want to hold on to 4th. I think you'll see a better Liverpool and much improved City. Im hoping for another close season.
  14. You reckon Milner is the only greedy word removed at Villa? Dream world. i doubt theres a player that wouldnt move to City, our club or any. No one will turn down the money they can offer. kaka difference being that Kaka still took astronomical wages but somewhere else.
  15. My my, The mighty (best run, financially sound, can afford anyone they want) Spurs have a "Sell to Buy" policy. And Glaston turns up on VT having a dig about the Milner situ. Notice he's not here to refute the quotes as a "fabrication" and just good ole candleface puting the press of the scent. Come on the Glasto, tell us the truth i think it also suggests that should the Milner deal go through, i would expect to see Keane and maybe another Spuds player heading this way.

  17. interesting article from candleface. Nothing imminent and a sell to buy policy. Be good to hear Glastons comments, after making top 4 i expected a big push from spurs. click me
  18. to be fair the papers would spin a "no comment" into something controversial anyway.
  19. why the need for a poll? think MON played Young as a forward when he first joined, his finishing would have to improve. Personally i think hes the best left sided winger in the prem. We should be building a team around him playing there.
  20. good luck mate, being induced cant take forever, i know someone who was nearly two days before they went into labour. Best of luck, hope all goes well and you and family are back home before you know it.
  21. disagree, i think he needs to be playing regularly. His sub appearances generally tend to coincide with his cant be arsed appearances.
  22. could you please clarify what you mean? Do you want us to sign him or what No I dont want Villa to sign him. Villa need to spend money on much better skilled players..which wont happen with MON in charge but that is another story. Only I said was that I think he was quite good in the World cup consider he played for a very weak international team. And he was better than many of the so called superstars from England and France during the World cup. Oh bugger off, MON has signed plenty of players better skilled than Tsabalalala. And I'd wager that come the end of the window he will of signed a few more! Sorry..I wasnt clear on what I meant. My intention was to say that MON wouldnt spend money on much better skilled FOREIGN players. I am tired of the old british players because MON is an absolute joke on the transfer market. He sign british players for over the top fees and then give them over the top wages...plays it safe and boring..we end up with "kick n´run" team and tactics. It has given us three sixth places yes...but we have had a good chance to improve on that before yet it has been missed out as I see it because MONs reluctance to look abroad for great bargains to lift the squad. id rather we signed good players and don't care where they're from. Signing players because they're foreign is as bad as MON signing players because they're British.
