  1. Little Axe AKA Skip McDonald (On-U Sound / Sugarhill Gang) - Champagne and Grits Some straight up modern blues produced by his old mate Adrian Sherwood but not much AMS trickery here, just solid clean production. Seriously one of the worlds most under-rated guitarists, he can play in so many styles but here he sticks to his natural blues style
  2. I'm not sure it is that tbh Birmingham and the West Mids seemed to be ahead of huge swathes of the country in age groups all the way through London is a bit different, I wonder if some of the people registered as living in London aren't actually there, Masses of people moved out during the pandemic and working from home, they buggered off to second homes or parents etc. I'm not sure how back to normal London currently is
  3. That really isn't the same recollection as me except right at the start, from about 65 downwards it was about 2 weeks at most which coincided with increased supplies in the chain, the only time it wasn't was April when there was a known shortage in supplies. 55 years old was called in the middle of March, we were still in the over 70 - 75's in Mid Jan. When you also consider we have an aging population (yeah yeah "Boomers"), there are more people in the upper 5 year bands than the lower 5 year bands
  4. Yay another Genie vacination countdown
  5. One to annoy Mr Bland. 5.5% ABV by Hammerton Brewery in that there London A Milk Stout, its very sweet, I couldn't drink more than one of these
  6. This can't be true, they added waste product from a dripping pipe for many months no so long ago
  7. Fairly sure I have Wipeout / Pipeline on an Old Gold 7"
  8. Just another day in Tory Britain.... Read the article linked on the GLP website and just look at the first firm they list, Uniserve Ltd (It might actually prove amusing if you also look at the pair of tweets linked in the article relating to Uniserve and a Cabinet minister (see below) Bah, its just the best part of a billion quid, no-one will notice And the other burning question is who the f*** is Julia Lopez, a cabinet minister. I genuinely need to Mooney her
  9. Inject with foam filler, seal with silicone sealant then cover over with gaffa tape. There thats used three of the 4 tools of the lazy mans tool kit, I'm just disappointed I couldn't find a use for the WD40
  10. Can I guess that the Surfaris track is Wipeout and the Chantays track is Pipeline?
  11. It really isn't cold here at all. Currently 13 but will only reach a cool high of 16 today
  12. Oh hi, are you hear to help? great, run along and stick that in the right place for me then, that'd help me a great deal
  13. Can't remember the last day it dropped below 20 outside in the daytime here, I've got the bedroom windows open to try and cool the room down a bit before I hit the hay
  14. Its been a busy day, out earning money this weekend for the first time since the pandemic started and doing some DIY today to. Time to put my feet up with a refreshing beer and my choice of album was Sextet by A Certain Ratio Laid back Manc Alt-funk. This has always been my favourite album of theirs, I'm fairly sure I've posted it before but it deserves another mention anyway. I love everything about this record including the abstract cover
  15. The sending off was another Hartson classic. That's not a sending off in my book, then about 5 sentences describing exactly why it was a sending off. Then repeated that he thought it was harsh
  16. He confused me, I thought I was watching Murder She Wrote
  17. Thank f*** Hartson just told me Wales were playing Italy because I'm sat at home and never realised. Jezuz
  18. John Hartson is Welsh, is there anything else that qualifies him to be a commentator. He talks an enormous amount of shit

  22. I have one of these bad boys. Project VCS Mk II
  23. Yep that's why I liked it here. It also prevented a lot of the “I'm not a tradesman honest gov” types who aren't meant to be there but always are because you had to book at least a day in advance
