  1. Should finish The Gentlemen this evening - on the whole, it’s been an entertaining watch. Will move onto and start 3BP later in the week (after Shogun Wednesday!)
  2. You’ll make me cross, plying the thread with these puns
  3. Made the trip to Bristol yesterday to see Yard Act at the O2 Academy. Supported by the surprisingly good Gustaf, a five piece (four girls, one guy) Brooklyn band who were the perfect foil for the headliner. They all looked like they were thoroughly enjoying themselves, especially the percussionist who utilised anything for bells, tins, voice modulator and a variety of squeeze dog toys! I’ve seen Yard Act before and was interested to see how there new more ‘danceable’ sound transposed live. They were absolutely phenomenal with the new stuff seamlessly fitting in with older tracks. The band clearly had a great night too and the capacity crowd were well up for it too! Took my 17yr old lad who, to date was happy standing a little back or to the side to watch gigs. This time we were front and centre in the bouncing throng! No doubt I’d definitely watch them again!
  4. I agree with somewhat about the Alien franchise - I really think Ridley Scott screwed the pooch with this convoluted and dreary Prometheus and the other one… so bring back the Space Marines and go for it! Fede Alvarez, in his defence wrote and directed Don’t Breathe - a really decent low budget home invasion film. well worth checking out! Other than that he did a remake of The Evil Dead and involved in the From Dusk Till Dawn series (haven’t watched either)
  5. Might just have to watch Blood Simple again
  6. Agreed, it looks very interesting indeed. however, it’s come at a time when there’s actually some other great programs on (Shogun and The Gentlemen to name two) so have to find time to fit them all in. in all likelihood, we’ll finish The Gentlemen first before taking on 3BP
  7. I like him and think he has the acting chops and physicality to do it. As long as he doesn’t pout for 2 hours like Daniel Craig. Wouldn’t have minded Henry Cavill or James Norton either.
  8. Never let the truth get in the way of London-centric media
  9. I doubt he could teach that effectively either
  10. New England kit - have to say it looks pretty good
  11. Just started The Gentlemen tonight, episode 1 was a great opener so we're looking forward to the other 7!
  12. Excellent point - Liverpool will want to destroy them in the league in a few weeks time
  13. Even better - the goal scorer picks up a second yellow by taking his top off to celebrate
  14. Bwahaha 4-3 to ManUre Didnt they realise they had to lose to allow Klopp his fairytale goodbye?
  15. Didn’t say I wanted them to win it just to stay in it for a while longer so they see that as their best chance of salvaging a terrible season (for them) having them lose in the final would be brilliant!
  16. Also gives them something tangible to focus on instead of 4th place
  17. Blimey 3-3 now! Entertaining game to be fair. penalties to decide this?
  18. Jeez, the charlatan Antony actually scored!
  19. Heard he said they needed more mussel up top
  20. Working today on my own in the office, which means I can at least play some stuff loud on a speaker! I have the following on rotation to help me through the day Yard Act - Where’s My Utopia Ghost Funk Orchestra - A Trip To The Moon Fruit Tones - Pink Wafer Factory Royel Otis - Pratts & Pains Idles - Tangkk Omni - Souvenir Meatbodies - Flora Ocean Tiger Bloom Air - Moon Safari (25th Anniversary out takes) Kid Kapichi - There Goes The Neighbourhood C Turtle - Expensive Thrills
  21. Daft errors that have blighted us for a while now.
  22. Top game to end the tournament. England fought well but silly errors ultimately gifted the game to France (who were accurate in their attack at the vital time) England finished the tournament in a much better place from where they started with a lot more positives to build on.
  23. Beautiful quick hands for another score!
  24. Great fight back by France but typically aided by England errors (again) great game though
  25. And again!!! superb response by England
