  1. Takes a few episodes to get going but I thought it was fantastic Been a while since I watched it but during the 7 seasons I actually think it got better series by series.
  2. The CPS have had a number of cases thrown out recently whereby they have ignored evidence that would clear men in rape/sexual assault cases . While we don't know the facts in this, it does have a familiar sound to it. Very rarely is there any comeback on the person making the false claim.
  3. Good result and helps boost confidence.

    Arsenal

In his first ten years Wenger revolutionised not only Arsenal but English football. His transfers were usually spot on (Petit, Vieira, Overmars, Pires, Ljungberg, Henry, Fabregas, etc) and they were a joy to watch. The titanic battles with SAF's Man Utd were brilliant. Vieira v Keane - you don't see passion like that in today's insipid game. However it is a shame a lot of people will remember the last few years - his spineless teams and poor judgement on players. I'm not sure what happened. Arsenal were never bad but never really very good again. They've not been same since they left Highbury. They lost something when they moved to the Emirates, and so did Wenger. I'm old enough to recall his early days and that is how i'll remember Wenger: A visionary of the era.
  5. I read he had suffered with depression previously and had some health issues. My first thought was suicide
  6. I know he was a huge name in the EDM scene.
  7. "Quck, upload this to Facebook, I bet no-one has ever done this before"
  8. That week at work being over. Man alive! What a stressful week. All good though and it does give me a buzz but it is so mentally draining. Time to cabbage out.
  9. Time to piss on some chips... I thought The Sopranos was 'ok'. Never grabbed me by my bollards... say, like The Wire, or Banshee, or 24, or The Shied did.
  10. Read this the other day - staggering that this happens and people can be so cruel to each other. Poor bloke. Mental to think the amount of control she had over him. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-beds-bucks-herts-43799850

    Quiz!

Well, the answer is below: The first two to win 2 EC winners medals were Saul Malatrasi and Jimmy Rimmer but both only played in 1 final.

    Quiz!

Correct - Rimmer won 2 but never played in the Man Utd victory. Koeman was the 2nd player to win 2 European Cups for different teams and play in both finals (PSV & Barcelona) Savicevic was the 4th I think to play and win for 2 teams Nope but I think he was first to win it 3 times with different teams
  14. Clients of mine who eff and jeff all the time when I'm meeting them or on a call with them. I have a good relationship with most of them and i'm no prude but it makes me a feel a little uneasy as at the end of the day i'm still a professional contact and we are talking business.

  17. Don't get @bickster started on lettuce... that's just the tip of the iceberg.
  18. All banks are different in terms of how they assess your credit worthiness. Some banks have differing risk profiles as well so it really is a minefield. HSBC for example are known as being a conservative lender, especially on mortgages compared to say Halifax or Nationwide.
  19. I'm shell-shocked at this turtlely bad pun!
