I think his real problem is that he doesn't have the ability to change or dictate how a game is going, he reflects the team as whole. When we played good stuff last season, McGinn was good. When we played shit, he was shit. Rarely is he good when the team is bad or bad when the team is good. I like his character and clearly Gerrard does too so, unless we get a offer too good to refuse, he will be here next season and hopefully he will be getting into the team on merit or will be fighting to do so.

That may have something to do with it but I think it's more the fact they think they are a genuinely massive club and no one else does. I don't think it's just Villa fans they hate, it's more the world for not taking them seriously. As for Richarlison, I don't think he's any better than Watkins and we already own him so absolutely no point to it even if we were interested.

Whatever the opinions on the player, and I have few as I've never seen him play, I think every Villa fan should be happy that we're getting in our wanted targets and getting them in early. I may have doubts on Gerrard but I'd rather he be given every chance for success rather than be set up to fail.

Yep, their tears just make me harder I've never seen the guy play but he seems highly rated so, fingers crossed, we've got a very good young player in exactly the position we need to fill the most.

Slightly higher than we have as I think Howe would have played to our players strengths rather than imposing a new style on them after a few games of coming in. Obviously the hope is that Gerrard has learnt all he needs to about who he can and can't use within his tactical set up and that this season's tribulations will make it easier for him to improve next season.

They're a team that can bring on top quality talent where as we bring on Nakamba. We all know that our midfield is not good enough and it certainly follows that the mid subs are even less so. On to next season, hopefully we will improve and get closer to the top half.

I feel if we are to get the most out of Coutinho and Buendia then we need a forward with clever movement and close control. Ings can do it but seems to pick up niggles. Watkins doesn't really suit that style.

I've not seen the guy play but I would have thought we stand a strong chance of getting him if we want him what with all our Rangers connections and being a good sized club to make a move to in the PL
