Grealish isn't showing that though is he? He made the choice to go and sit on the Man City bench rather than play football week in week out. On form, Grealish was lucky to get picked for the squad. If he doesn't move and start playing again this will be his last major tournament. -
In fairness, so starved are we of proper football at the moment, we will talk about any slightest Villa related news. Usually, this would have been half a page in the general transfer thread.

Even without the injury I don't think he would have been good enough for us. Sadly, with the injury, he's now barely a footballer.

The thing is with the penalty they wanted from the Cavani incident he clearly put his leg across the defender in order to get tangled up and wanted the penalty. Man City get the foul in quickly and early if their own attack breaks down. It prevents counter attacks and you're far less likely to pick up a yellow for a niggling foul on the edge of the opposition's box than you are anywhere else on the pitch. We need to adopt this

The only problem I have is that he is 30. He seems to have maintained fitness and doesn't seem too injury prone but I do worry about having too many older players in the squad. If the fee was relatively low then I can see why, on ability, we would want him. Has a ball park transfer fee been mentioned?

I suspect Unai wanted to see as many of our players out on the pitch before the January window opens which, with the WC, is only a couple of games away. Unai will now know for certain that Olsen is no where near the standard needed going forward. I doubt we will see Olsen play another minute unless the situation forces it.

I don't have particularly strong opinions about any of them but our current badge is a mess. The new designs are not exciting but both are better than the current one from a design perspective But really, they can put a poo emoji in a triangular shield for all I care, if they make us successful on the pitch
