  1. Agree entirely. He looks comfortable on the ball, and I love an absolute howitzer of a shot, so he'll do for me. John McGinn doesn't shoot or score nearly enough for such an attack-minded player.
  2. I'll defer to Rob's expertise on this, but surely who actually makes the shirt is down to Castore? I can't imagine we have a shirt design contract, and then a separate shirt manufacture contract? Surely it's all on Castore just to design and then gets the shirts made?
  3. The fabric the kit is made of this year is horrendous. You can tell the first time you see it that's it's ultra cheap and nasty. It feels like a polyester T-shirt from a market stall in the 1970s. Castore have done us good and proper this season, I'd be getting lawyers on the case and getting out of the contract as soon as possible. Get somebody decent like Adidas to make it, and bin this pair of chancers off.
  4. I'm not sure it's really that relevant. When we first bought Luiz we'd just come back up and he was playing with players like Nakamba, Targett and Jota. Kamara is playing next to one of the best midfielders in the Premier League, surrounded by other internationals. It's not remotely comparable.
  5. They've both been well below their expected levels. You perhaps don't notice it as much with Watkins, because Kamara is there to try to get control in midfield and when he doesn't it's ended in a shoeing this season.
  6. Good to see him back, one of the bright spots of tonight.
  7. That's quite a low bar to be fair, and probably unfair on Konsa.
  8. It's our worst shirt, ever. I always buy a home shirt to play five-a-side football in, and it's horrendous. It's like playing in cling film in a swimming pool. Doesn't really matter for a load of fifty year old dads on a Tuesday night, but at the elite level where small decisions make a difference, we need to be binning Castore off bloody pronto.
  9. The balance of the side is just all wrong. Mings was such a bedrock that him being out now has affected everybody else. Hopefully with Moreno and Ramsey coming back on the left soon, we can stick McGinn back on the right where he was really effective last season, and Kamara can settle down again and get back to being as good as we know he can be.
  10. Promising again tonight. Not perfect, but better than most. And his shot that Duran followed up on was superb.
  11. If you don't win the group it's an extra couple of games isn't it?
  12. Usual mixed bag from Digne, good going forwards, nice goal but a bit rubbish defensively. But he is only back up to Moreno, who I'm sure will be in the first team again in the next week or two.
  13. He can trap it further than I can kick it.

    Jhon Durán

It's nice that both he and Zaniolo have a thunderbastard of a shot on them.

    Unai Emery

That's where I am too. He's been brilliant, but the loss of Mings has really damaged him and away from home he hasn't really come close to getting it right yet. He will of course, but tonight was very poor.
  16. Agreed, it's not his position at all. At Leicester when he was good and before the Leicester fans all hated him, his strength was getting forward and beating the press. In a two he looks as bad as McGinn used to when he played there under Smith, it just doesn't work. With Kamara in a bit of a trough at the moment though we don't have that much in the way of back up.
  17. I thought Chambers looked useful as a centre back in pre-season as his standard of passing is quite good. But by heck that was a terrible performance today, he just hasn't got the pace or positional ability for right back. His positioning when he was about 15 yards away from his man is the sort of thing you see in non league football when the player has been out on the piss the night before and is trying to keep up with a 17 year old forward.
  18. Utter garbage is too strong, he's just playing massively below the level we've seen him play at. He seems to be in a permanent sulk as well.
  19. I only remember him touching it once, when his delicate first touch saw the ball end up about 10 yards away.
  20. I don't think he'd fit in at Brighton at all, his first touch is way too ropey for the way they play. And spending big on establised Premier League players isn't really the way they go about business anyway.
  21. I think they have to have them according to Premier League rules, just like they *have* to consult on changes to badges and other 'legacy' items like the club name, to stop wrong 'uns like the Cardiff owner trying to change the colour from blue to red etc. However, that still gives them a lot of wriggle room to "consult" and then do exactly what they want anyway.

Wordle 824 3/6* Bah, lost out on a twofer. On the other hand, I very nearly went elsewhere which would have made it a 4.

  24. My mate pays £5,000 a year for the equivalent of the Terrace View at Arsenal. We've still got an awful long way to go before we're anything like Arsenal or Spurs.
