  1. The voters made a decision in the last election, and they decided in rather huge numbers that they'd prefer almost anybody at all to Jeremy Corbyn. So that being the case, should Labour go down that route again, or instead pick a grown up, who as boring and non-commital as he certainly is, is at least a big improvement on a work-shy chancer like Johnson?
  2. Well done mate, that's excellent progress. I'm combining keto with running three to four times a week at the moment, and have my first 10K next week, a night race at Rutland Water. I find I have so much more energy on keto, knocked out a 24 minute 5K on Monday night which is my best ever. Want to lose another half a stone before Christmas if possible, as I expect the odd mince pie may make it past my lips.
  3. You honestly think that the announcer giving it a really half arsed boxing promoter style "Suuuuuuuper John McGinnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn!" is going to have any bearing whatsoever on the overall atmosphere? The crowd largely reacts to what's going on, on the pitch. Sunday against Luton was like watching a training game, there was more suspense, tension and threat in the average episode of In The Night Garden. And the crowd reacted, or more precisely, didn't, accordingly. Wait until we're 1-1 with Man City under the lights in the first week of December, with 10 minutes to go!
  4. Wilson is a miles better finisher than Ollie, it's just his injury record that has prevented him being absolute top class.
  5. Yep, truly dreadful. It's like the thankfully short lived goal music fiasco under Lerner and Krulak. They can stick that nonsense up their hoop.
  6. He's been excellent and is now looking like the player with all the international caps for France we spent a lot of money on. I get why Moreno was picked ahead of him when Emery first bought Alex, but having been forced to get the best out of Digne, he's now repaying that faith. It's good because we don't have to rush Moreno back, and then we'll have two similarly excellent but different left backs we can call on depending on the type of game.
  7. No, of course not. But there are "events" that happen in the course of conflict, then there's choosing to behead children. And that's obviously, far, far worse than just about anything, surely?
  8. The "events" of 7 October were the widespread murder, rape and and butchery of civilians including children and babies. So if the UN chap had said "the beheading of babies doesn't happen in a vacuum" then all of a sudden it doesn't sound quite as reasonable.
  9. Indeed, can see Digne playing more in tight away games, Moreno more at home, but as I've often said, we'll be in the happy position of having two top class left backs. And anybody who suggested selling Digne in the summer smells faintly of wee.
  10. In his last pre-match conference Emery said two to three weeks for both Moreno and Ramsey. I would say after the next international break in that case, which would hopefully make them available for Spurs.

To be fair, unverified Twitter claims about injuries to Villa players usually become verified on an annoyingly regular basis.
  12. Spot on with this assessment. I like Emi, but with everybody fit next season he won't be a regular starter.

    Wordle

Wordle 857 2/6* A two compared to Tony's four. That makes me twice as intelligent by my reckoning, and infinitely better looking.

You might have been through the keeper thing before but it's still nonsense. If it was a good idea, why doesn't it happen all the time, and why don't all teams do it, instead of just about nobody? And where was it reported that Villareal wanted him?

Although Unai does often put players on the bench who don't have a chance of playing, eg a second kepper or players who aren't fully fit. Dunno, it just seemed a very strange, overly expensive signing from the word go, and not one that Unai had anything to do with. He just doesn't seem like an Emery player to me.
