  1. sadly i think this means Tuanzebe was brought in to replace Elphick and not to play DM... sad times...
  2. no its def unlikely but its exciting enough to want to believe it could happen. in SBs position id be using it as a carrot to get more out of the players
  3. 4 more defeats for them and 4 wins for us and its game on. not out of the question based on their performance today.
  4. onamah didnt play did he? also grealish missing...
  5. crap 2nd half - what does sb say at ht when we have a good 1st half? we almost always dont follow a good 1st with even an ok 2nd... milwall 4-3 up
  6. wolves losing - results looking good for us atm
  7. signing him when we did made sense. he had a great record coming here for scoring for fun at this level. unfortunately it hasnt worked out, sometimes they dont. whether bruce could/should give another chance is irrelevant. once the trust is gone its gone
  8. i wasnt in favor of his initial appointment and hes done little to make me change my mind. evidence suggests we will either just make the playoffs or miss out unless we improve. evidence suggests the bristol game was an exception as opposed to a rule. we generally do poorly against teams near or above us in the league, making success in the playoffs unlikely. you can point to 4 promotions but football has moved on, the quality and competition in this division has dramatically incŕeased and in his own words he has never managed a club as big as us with as much pressure and expectation as there is here. his irratic performances and ill advised comments in the press for me only serve to show he isnt up to the task. please hod i hope im wrong, but as others have said, he should be removed at the end of he season, promoted or not as he is not the man to establish us back in the Premier League - and he has proven that at his 4 promoted clubs and reinforced it with poor decisions and inconsistent performances during his time here.
  9. dont think we should sell for less than 10 tbh
  10. see the bits in bold above. we didnt sign nilis too late, he was in the form of his life coming here. injury stopped him rather than age and decline, which seems to be what the op was getting at
  11. my understanding of the thread title was people who were good before they arrived here and came here because they were past it or a has been. i had thought luc nillis was in his late 20s when we signed him (but have been corrected on that). but when he arrived he was in the best form of his career club level and was a regular starter at international level. the only thing that placed him at the end of his career was a freak accident.
  12. i hadnt realised he was so old i thought he was in his late 20s when he arrived... i stand corrected
  13. not sure why people are listing luc nillis. he was at his peak when we signed him and was playing well until the injury that ended his career
  14. as disappointing as today is better to focus on the league. fingers crossed the bristol performance gets replicated next week and not this...
