  1. Hi General, Just wondering if you can shed any light on what exactly Mr. Cunnah did whilst at the club and for what reason he has left? Or was it simply that he had fulfilled his job requirement? Thanks Scott
  2. throwing in my 2 cents worth... i'm not saying i am ITK i'm not saying that this is concrete or even slightly true but the source is Jermaine Penant so make up your own mind (yes i am aware he played for the scum) apparently if the barry deal goes through it'll be a part exchange for BOTH Crouch and Pennant apparently benitez has discussed this with both players and they have agreed to leave should villa accept but as above it could be a former blooser just talking shit
  3. after the comments he made in the press about not wanting to leave cos he can win things here to then be banded around the papers with liverpool cos he thinks he's gonna win more there is a kick in te teeth for villa and i dont want people with those loose morals at this club - deserves to be booed if the stories about him leving are true
  4. yes - provided that he can sign some squad players and some first teamers if he cannot bring in at least 5 players in the summer then i'll have to change to no
  5. the problem isnt randy fronting the money i'm not sure MON has the balls to spend it
  6. Hi General, Just wondering if you can confirm when: 1) new sponsor will be announced? 2) new kit will be unveiled? 3) next seasons season ticket prices will be released? Thanks
  7. oops i was looking at the academy not the reserves
  8. we beat fulham 1-0 to regain the top spot now 4 points ahead of reading and 1 ahead of spammers with a game in hand looking good
  9. things are definately on the down turn a few players need to be rested and we are approaching suspensions for no fewer than 6 players in the starting 11 a bad game and we could loose them all for an important match and add a few injuries to that and we'll be playing our 17yr old reserves in the prem
  10. just 1 for me and it will be laursen personally i'd take signing laursen over 3 other singings an no laursen
  11. i think number 1 is the most tradiitonal and suits our proud history bright future theology much better number 2 just makes me think of the czech republic number 3 will get very dated very fast IMO number 4 - not able to post what i think on here without getting a red card
  12. Hi General, i feel i must echo the feelings of many others here regarding the moving of fixtures as it is a disgrace that the dates are moved after tickets have been sold. a friend of mine doing his MA in law told me that here in Ireland this is illegal and clubs here would be subject to reimburse the lost travel expenses if such a thing happened - obviously this isnt the case in the uk? i do think however as perhaps a good will jesture the club should offer to refund tickets to those who can no longer atend due to the chnge in KO time? just a thought as it very unfair - and could posibly be seen as false advertising - to move a fixture when the tickets with date/time in them have already been issued. Also worth noting that the ticket is no longer fit for the purpose for which it were sold so i dont think the club would have a choice to give a refund if a ticker holder were to ask for a refund. Perhaps the club could look into posponing the on sale dates for future fixtures if they feel the dates may change? i think this would be a fair curtesy to the fans who spend huge amounts of money on the club and i feel that such changes will actively discourage fans rather than encourage as you say because as others have pointed out this is a huge inconvienience to some. Regards
  13. i plumped for young as i think in terms of the 5 year plan his potential means more to us than Laursens current impetus - cant see him still being part of the team in 3/4 years - i would be surprised if young/gabby/barry werent
  14. Thanks so much for your efforts General, I have spoken to John in person over the weekend and just as an FYI to all the other larger villains John has said that sizes bigger than XXL will NOT be available this season but should be in future seasons. Have to say i'm disappointed cos i cant get a new shirt - lets hope that nice black training top is still available next time around but again thanks alot for all the help General and keep up the good work
  15. this isnt so much a question for the general - please anyone who can answer please do how do i contact john greenfield? mods - feel free to delete All - feel free to PM me the deatils
  16. Thanks for the reply general, i know i am geting very annoying on this point but you mention XXXL? as i live in Ireland i cant say whats in the club shop but this size shirt isnt available ANYWHERE on the web. it isnt even listed as a size on the official website so its not even a case of being out of stock the site only recognises XXL as its largest size. Would it be possible for you to speak to, or tell me who to speak to, to get the sites updated as if there are XXXL shirsts available i wanna be able to buy one and at this moment i cannot. Many Thanks and hope this isnt to irritating - i know i would be in your position
  17. Hi General, Just wondering what the feedback on the shirt sizes was? Sorry if i have missed it and making you repeat yourself. Many Thanks
  18. Hi General, sorry to be another one of 'those' people whojust come here to moan at you - i truely am! But the fact that we come here to moan speaks volumes about how much you are valued and that we know you will do everything in your power to help which no other club in the world has i'd wager! Was trying to buy my new shirt for my birthday which is friday but to my dismay i cant get one anywhere in Ireland (Galway) - not really surprised about this really. So i then asked my brother who work for the club 'HOORAH!' to havea go and he could get a size bugger than a 48" chest. Now i'm a fairly big chap as you may have guessed and in previous seasons - including last season - shirt sizes went up to a 58" chest and had no bother getting a size. So i thought that was a bit funny so i checked out the villadirect website and again to my dismay found that sizes dont go past XXL (48" chest). Also have emailed the shop and had a response saying that sizes above this wont be available... is this correct? I appreciate that as you have said with the late deal being done maybe they are making the smaller sizes first and the larger - less bought sizes later - which is fine. But to be old i cant get a shirt larger than 48" is a bit outrageous TBH. I truely hope this isnt the case and if you can offer any words of advice i would most appreciate it! UTV
  19. BOF can we also get a comparison of the corresponding fixture last season as well? so we can see if we have improved like for like in each fixture? Thanks
  20. Hi General, how are you feeling after the first win of the season and how did you celebrate? Thanks
  21. Hi General, Feeder clubs are clubs with whom there is an agreement that we give them players and they play as part of the teams first team squad. The feeder club gain a good player for no wages in return the host club gets good experience and development of their player and usually first choice on the purchase of any potential stars in the feeder clubs books. It can be a pretty good deal and i was led to believe we have such a deal with Walsall already? Hope that helps flash
  22. i'm sorry but i think you will find we won the league using only 14 senior players. NEXT well written article but fundamentaly falwed and based on nothing but supposition i dont actually see one fact in there that can be verified and the one that is put forward is easily proved to be incorrect sorry but this is pure PFE
  23. Hi General, So issues for catering have been identified? Thats very good news. May i ask what is going on behind the scenes to resolve issues at the moment and moving forwards? I appreciaate that some of the things mean building work and cant really be done. Still would be nice to know what has been identified and what plans are in place to try and overcome these challenges, and possibly even a timeframe that you think they can be overcome in? Thanks
  24. Hi General, Hate to jump on the bandwagon with all the complaints but here goes... I have been speaking to a number of villa employees at lower levels the ones having to deal with the fans face to face but have no control over the causes for the problems. They are saying that they feel the management at VP are not listening to them or taking any steps to provide any support or assistance to help solve these issue. As many fans have mentioned above the complaints are getting worse and not better! I get the feeling that noone seems to know whats going wrong or how to fix it and it seems this sense of being 'unprepared' isnt just in the stadium shops and bars but the team and coaching staff as well. I have to ask that given that the new board has been in charge a year now how the trends, and stocking issues havent been noted and corrected by now? I have worked in large and busy bars, supermarkets etc for many years and if i were getting complaints like this for so long i'd have been sacked! Perhaps bringing in an outside auditing company to try and implement new strategies is whats needed? Rather than relying on VP management who obviously dont seem to be able to handle the issue they are facing currently? Thanks
  25. Many thanks for this General, i have to admit i am still somewhat in awe that a member of the board is taking so much time to liase with th fans and its FANTASTIC!!! Will John be coming back to you with findings?updates? If so would be very grateful if you could pass them on to us!!! Have to say tho it wont stop me buying the kit cos its still looks class
