  1. There's a smile just appeared on my face
  2. wouldn't it be awful if all this transparency caught on and the clubs wrestled a bit of power back from the players and their agents
  3. @TROdoing stand up? Yeah I'd go to that. A good idea!! bit of a scattergun approach, but you got one in the end
  4. They'll be using quotes off a marketing tool and calling it news in the corporate media next!!
  5. I get the not messing with the team bit. But I cant help feeling if I dislike his Twittering I'd be on the side of the bookies and the press trying to protect their luddite cabal from the new century "flat and crowd".
  6. Well that was short and bitter! Tara then.
  7. realisation of truth alone will bring about a reformation, helping to establish lasting peace.
  8. Im not turning on the new players or the manager just yet but we need to see a reaction to this. Its not that Bristol City are a bad team in this division, losing away to them is hardly a surprise but its just the manner of it AGAIN. It wasnt the first goal, second goal or any of that that made me think we were doomed it was Ayew blazing that chance over early in the second half. we all knew what was coming. Need better in front of goal. over to you Xia et al.
  9. Happy with the lineup. Come on Villa.
  10. Maybe..... With Richards, Okore, Lescott, Bennett, Gabby, Traore and Kozak all gone... Gollini Steer DeLaet - Elphick - Chester - Amavi Hutton - NEW DC - Baker - Cissokho Tshibola - Jedinak Gardner - Westwood NEW AMR - Ayew - Grealish Bacuna - McCormack - NEW AML NEW ST Gestede Subs: Bunn, Lyden, Green, H-Murphy
  11. Bit of a radical idea I know but how about we try playing the best left back we've had at the club for a long time at left back?
  12. So last week of the transfer window and Lescott, Gabby andTraore are all training with the reserves. Im guessing Hutton, Bennett, Okore, Richards and Kozak are all available. I like Dr X's comments about Ayew but I still have him on my list of players we'll do well to hold onto this window, along with Grealish and Amavi. Not that Im saying they are going anywhere before we start that again
  13. Scottish Sun If it's even remotely true then hold out as long as you can Hearts.
  14. Im more concerned with the squad up top now after the summer so far. It gives me confidence though that RDM is building from the back so to speak. Defence wise Richards, Okore and Lescott leaving and a central defender coming in would sort us out for now. Bennett or Cissokho, Bacuna or Hutton could leave this week and I wouldn't bat an eyelid. In midfield we at least have 4 options + Lyden for 2 positions. Wouldn't be against Gardner leaving and a new face coming in though. Up top however after Ayew/McCormack/Grealish in the 3 behind the striker there's only Green and/or arguably Bacuna (not my favourite idea I must say). Traore doesn't want to be here and we don't want Gabby here. As for the focal point, I have so little faith in either Gestede or Kozak I'm glad we're at least chasing one new striker.
  15. Never seen him play but I like the sound of him. U21 Italian holding midfielder who likes scoring from free kicks. Played for Verona with Gollini last year so as others have said maybe they get on?
  16. Welcome to B6. you're not Hutton or Richards or Bacuna and that's a start. OS n that
  17. Missed a penalty against me in a 5 a side net when he came to open our school fete once when I was a kid. Bloody idolised him after that.
  18. Nice comments from MOTD after his lovely double against Sheff Weds.
