  1. I could see Bent with Benteke working, not sure about Bent with Kozak. i would prefer Gabby with Kozak probably.
  2. He put in some very good substitute appearances and still couldn't get in the team the next week. That must have been very frustrating for him, and a clear message that the manager didn't rate him no matter how well he played. Not surprised he wanted to go.
  3. Kozak scored goals with Lazio, in the cup games, and he has scored goals for us. He is a goal scorer, and it is always good to have one in your squad even if they don't offer a lot else.
  4. We would be absolute mugs to let him go on a free.
  5. He is a young player but not hungry.
  6. We ended last season looking forward to seeing the team continuing to improve and expecting us to score lots of goals. The end of this season just feels like all hope has been crushed out of us.
  7. I thought he looked very poor defensively against Man City, he switches off, positioning is poor, slow to close down and is just too weak in the challenge. He has some quality further up the pitch, but not sure it is enough to be a better option than a proper midfielder in that position.
  8. I think he should do it every time he fails to score from four yards out.
  9. He misses far too many from inside the 6 yard box.
  10. There is nothing special about this guy. Not worth paying over the odds just because he is from Chelsea.
  11. Couldn't expect much from the team we had out. Parking the bus doesn't really require great players or great tactics, once that failed it was only ever going to go one way.
  12. He still needs to improve his final delivery, but has surely earned a new contract here.
  13. All the best players have that touch of arrogance that helps make them special. Unfortunately, a lot of poor players have it too, and it does them no favours.
  14. A fast, skillful forward who can play with or without Benteke. A decent no 10, but I don't rate Holtby, and a big defensive midfielder. If our injuries clear up, I don't think we are that far off.
  15. I think he was overrated in his first season and didn't start this season well, but he has clearly progressed as the season has gone on, not just in terms of his play but also his attitude. He is far less timid than he used to be.
  16. He had his best game of the season today. But after a season of utter rubbish he gets a tap in from four yards and celebrates like he is Billy Big Bollocks. Second goal was an excellent finish though. He made a couple of good runs in the first half where he had the chance to lay it on a plate for a team mate and failed both times. I hope he isn't a regular starter next season.
  17. Not an impressive line up at all. Not an impressive bench either...
  18. He didn't really make much of an impact today, but I would sooner have him getting game time than Weimann.
  19. Although I think Lambert has spent the majority of the money he has had wisely, there is little else positive to say. He deserves kudos for bringing Benteke to the club, but ultimately his whole tenure has been founded on that one player. I was not so much pro Lambert as anti changing the manager and having to start over, but I don't think Lambert has anything left now. His footballing team and managerial team have fallen apart. It would be a mercy killing now.
  20. We played better football than we have done for a long time, but lacked a cutting edge. We fell apart when Lambert changed it to a 4-2-4, a formation that has failed whenever he has used it. I think Norwich, Cardiff and Fulham for the drop though.
  21. Not out of it yet, Delph has been quiet but the midfield has done well overall.
  22. He is a short passer for the most part - he looked quite accomplished when we started out playing a very short passing style under Lambert (wow, that seems a very long time ago). That style of play lasted about one game.
  23. The front two let us down badly, I expect that from Weimann, but Gabby has been just as bad lately - so much for always showing up when we need him. Guzan, Vlaar, Bertand, KEA and Albrighton all did well today.
  24. They are a far superior team, but their world cup hopefuls won't be wanting to pick up any knocks this close to the tournament. Show the right attitude and we can get a result, not sure where our goals are going to come from though.
