  1. Good player, calm in possesion and excellent on the ball. £30m is a crazy price though, but then every player they have signed for the past 12 months has been an overblown fee.
  2. It would cost us our PL status so £8m is nothing for me.
  3. Agreed. Why would he go from one numpty team to another? [\bitter] £££££££££ They operate on gates on less than 20k, they will not be spending tons of money this season.
  4. Simon Poulsen? Were linked just before 2010 world cup, I watched with bated breath as it seemed pretty solid, and realistic. He was absolutely horrendous and I don't think he has every been linked to anyone since EDIT : May have been the Euros.
  5. This is what scares me, how much others will spend to improve whilst we wait for a sale. Hull spending £6m a pop and 40k a week on guff like Livermore, Snodgrass, one good game a season Long and Jelavic doesn't scare me. They are welcome to them. Bruce did the same at Sunderland with average trash like Gardner,Cattermole, Turner Bardsley, and they are only just about recovering.
  6. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2666339/EXCLUSIVE-Rio-Ferdinand-agreed-deal-sign-QPR-reunited-Harry-Redknapp.html You do realise you have linked to the daily mail there to back up, I am guessing, your argument? Also, if they do sign Rio I wouldn't be surprised if it is pay as you play deal or something. Also, that article claims Rio was earning £200k last season, I don't think Rio has even been on those sums, ecspecially when he only signed a year extentsion.

  8. The days of QPR spending crazy money on wages for 30+ defenders are long gone. If we lose him, it will be to United or Spurs bench etc.. I would be surprised if he doesn't go on to be in the team of the tournament. He has been excellent. I think regardless of what happens this summer, he will be gone the next, sadly.
  9. I stick with my prediction that he will be gone by christmas The fixtures have all but sealed his fate unless we get 6 - 7 points from our opening 3 games a must really considering the games we have coming up for the 2 months after Who would come manage a club with no money to spend and a owner that wants to sell? Why risk coming then 2 months down the line be out of work again with new owners? We will be stuck with Lambert for the whole season if there is no take over. A nice pay off. loads of managers I would imagine.
  10. The darkest days were the O'leary days for me. Bakke, Berson, Djemba Djemba, McCann, Hendrie. We had some truly rubbish footballers back then, and a truly rubbish manager, and not a pot to piss in. At least now I can pretend we have young, hungry footballers than might develop into something.
  11. If he is a full back and Lambert is signing him then he is rubbish. Not that I have seen him play, but you know....
  12. I am going to boo him to within an inch of his life.
  13. Utterly bizarre post of the highest order. The fans in the stadium will be supporting him and giving him a chance. If he does make a mistake then he's not going to be lambasted any more than any other player that makes a mistake in a football match. That's bullshit and you know it is. Course it is. Not saying it's everyone but the more vociferous will moan and groan at the first chance - at the first time he miss kicks a ball. How many times did some boo and moan just at the mention of the name of a player. How many times at the first mistake was that player lambasted. Oh! my bad - that must be their way of showing support and backing and giving them confidence. Many in the stadium might support him (wonder about the ones in the match threads on the various forums?). And before I get warned or lambasted - it is EVERY fans right to voice their feelings in whichever way they deem fit. Me - I'd rather give them 100% backing whilst they wear the Villa Shirt (be they shit, bad, indifferent or brilliant). Giving people like him confidence is not the problem. He is shit and always will be.
  14. He has been absolute shite for 10 years, it won't change. "A fair crack of the whip or not." Even with his 6ft 3 inches and his experience, I would still have Baker and Clarke over him. He gets bullied way too much, he looks scared and lost everytime a ball is punted towards him.
  15. Senderos and Lescott the same level of player? Name me a club Senderos has played for that rates him, Wolves, Everton and even Citeh fans love Lescott. Meant they would be back up players for us. Lescott is overrated imo and I don't care what fans from other teams think? Well you should do, Fulham fans were delighted to see Senderos go, Everton not so much.

  17. Become being the operative word. When a quality player is available on a free (and I do believe he is quality) then you sign him. Can come in for 2 years and, along with Vlaar add real steel and experience to build on. I think having two solid defenders would breed confidence throughout the entire team. Okore will be that one day, I believe and hope but it is going to be a big ask for him next season.
  18. I will match that offer if I can pay it off installments. 500 pages and this is still the kind of guff we have to speculate on.
  19. Getting smashed by United constitutes as a good memory for him. What a loser.
