This is a good point really, in our last 5 league games we haven't even conceded in the first 84 minutes, only the late goals at Everton and West Ham (fluke). Considering we conceded 65 in the first 34 games of last season it's hard to not give him credit for that

noticed this today and thought he ticks all the boxes of the clues given before, then I saw that he's had eight periods out in the previous 2 seasons, missing 48 league games as a result including all 24 games since November last year! pretty rough luck that.
coady, saiss, boly, dendoncker, neves, traore all started as well as their £35m kid and jimenez, neto and podence all came off the bench. shocking result that.
Average age v West Brom was pretty similar actually - 19.6 v 19.3. Looked like an even game that was settled at the death.

who would potentially be a number 8 from europe who will surprise us? must be a well known player so either ex-prem or known from playing in EL/CL? or international level
The only thing keeping me reopening this thread is AvfcRigo82's subtle hints that there might be something we hadn't thought of holding this up I wonder if it's been mentioned yet by anyone
Can see us getting two attackers in before the start of the season and possibly a third closer to the deadline - can't see him being happy 'filling in' at wide forward again when we've got a whole window to bring in additions with no shortage of cash...
