  1. You mentioned Kozak yourself and Gestede was clearly ready - he came on, did well and scored.
  2. How many points has he cost us with that in the past? Barely any, why is he going to start now? The guy kept us in the game with some good saves - the defence is getting praise, yet they let Bournemouth in too many times and it was up to Brad to stop them. He's a good keeper.
  3. More to the point, it's apples and oranges - Veretout is a creative player, Sanchez is La Roca. Sanchez offers more than Westwood defensively, Veretout offers more than Westwood attack-wise. Should be those two with the amazing Gana.
  4. This. - Some great tackles - Plenty of interceptions - Some poor decisions (weak clearance that led to a great chance for them, the time where he decided to stop tracking back to cover and slow down for some unknown reason, those mental runs up the pitch for no reason)
  5. He gets credit for the changes he made but he put out a silly front 3 really, who were all the same type of player and gave us only one dimension. Realistically, we could easily be coming out of that game with a loss, with the chances they had - so we shouldn't get carried away because we didn't dominate them.
  6. Looked totally outclassed next to Gueye - I'd rather start Sanchez.
  7. Agree that he'll be the go to guy for weaker teams but he's not young for RB. Amavi is a lot younger and is light years ahead of him.
  8. Richards got away with more than Clark tbf.
  9. Not good enough to be a starter IMO. Sanchez deserves the nod all day ahead of him.
  10. He reacted well and corrected his initial mistakes with the team selection. Did alright today.
  11. A few times he messed up but made some great tackles at times too. Not sure he's going to fare so well against good strikers in the prem.
  12. Looks as good as he was billed to be. Awesome.
  13. Composed, solid, good at everything a CM needs to be good at. Looks like he'll be an outstanding piece of business.
  14. First game in a different team/league/country ffs - give him some time, haters. He didn't do well, for sure but it's very early days.
  15. Can't argue with his contribution today - he's not the most talented/skilled player by any stretch but he causes problems when he puts a shift in.
  16. Bacuna and Richards defending. Gulp.
  17. My thoughts exactly. Same charisma as Sherwood? Nope - but they still had it in spades. They don't have 'compelling attractiveness or charm' - one is a grumpy Scot, the other is a reclusive Catalan.
  18. I'd disagree with that. Character and charisma get your foot in the door but if you can't back it up with an analytical tactical reactive brain - you're stuffed. Absolutely. You can't get by on just character and charisma. But it helps shape how players play for you and if players want to come at all. That's important, especially when things aren't going well. You can get by without charisma quite happily - Ferguson and Guardiola being examples of that. Charisma can also mask ineptitude for a while, so it's something you have to be wary of.
  19. I'd disagree with that. Character and charisma get your foot in the door but if you can't back it up with an analytical tactical reactive brain - you're stuffed.
  20. He's doing a fantastic job right now. Again, it's premature to say that until we see what the new team can do on the pitch in a competitive match in the premier league.
  21. It's very premature to say that DDID - we'll know in about 5 games if he's doing a fantastic job or not. As for the shit rolling down hill, it does. People like Fox, Reilly etc. are higher up the pecking order than he is in the business structure. It's almost odd how that works in football but there you go.
  22. Seems you've been turned dude... I hope you're right FWIW I'm not against him at all but I'm not 100% on board yet, still happy up here on the fence.
  23. He seems to be the opposite of Luna if anything - stays at the back, defends, doesn't like going forward.
