    From my understanding it's basically a buyout. They're paying him to go away, but not paying him as much as if he'd have stayed.

    Yes. While some of Villa's matches will be broadcast on one of NBC's TV networks, the majority will be on the NBC Gold app. But all Premier League matches in the US are on NBC.

    Do you watch on a laptop/tablet or on your TV? Because the picture quality when watching on a TV was much better on ESPN+ than the NBC app.

    What's funny is, as an American I wasn't able to watch every match in the Championship, but the ones I did see were on the ESPN+ app, which is a vastly superior product to the NBC Sports app I'll be watching most Villa matches on next season. This is the cross I must bear.

    It's hard to really judge it until we know the cost. If this is one of those deals where he can be had for very cheap since he's a year left on his deal, and was dealing with injuries last season, it's a low-risk move, and it's hard to be too upset about it. I suspect that's what the interest is.

    Feel the same way as I did with Jota. Happy if he's a depth signing as an option, but not thrilled if he's being signed to be the top option.

    Just thinking out loud: Getting Jota also provides us leverage in the Lolley negotiations. If Forest starts demanding more than we're willing to pay because they believe we're desperate to land him, having Jota means we're no longer desperate.

    Not sure why anybody is upset. We all know Gardner wasn't going to play for us. Jota may not lead us to the Champions League, but he's depth at an area we need at the very least. Not every signing can be The Signing.

    He was never good enough, but it was never for a lack of effort. I'd thank him for helping get us out of the Championship, but then again, he was also part of the reason we were there to begin with! Alas, I'm still grateful.
