  1. Factor in wages and Bowery every time. Yeah, technically you could argue that Bowery was paid £0 per goal.
  2. He is not very good though is he? Infact, he is quite poor. He's good when he does his job, but he has a tendency to freelance a bit. I will say he's improved since Jurgen Klinsmann took over, though. Not quite as reckless as he used to be.
  3. I really like Deandre Yedlin as well, but I'm fairly sure we couldn't afford his transfer fee right now.
  4. Because then somebody else comes along and pays the £150m while you're sitting there waiting.
  5. I think that's the point of the link and we are where he will "invest elsewhere". It's a long shot put who knows. A soccer club doesn't strike me as an investment as much as it does a money pit.
  6. Wouldn't read too much into Arison. He said back in February that he was planning on selling 10 million of his shares for "tax, estate and diversification purposes." So this is likely just him getting money to invest elsewhere, as it still leaves him as majority shareholder in Carnival. LINK
  7. I just want someone who owns the team at this point.
  8. I mean, I guess he does. If he could hire one of the greatest coaches of all time to be the CEO, then collude into getting what would amount to the 6 best players in the world onto the team, yeah I'd call him a great owner. Otherwise....meh. Can't imagine why somebody from Ohio would want to diminish what the Heat accomplished.
  9. I heard all he does is win, win, win no matter what.
  10. What if FFP bought Villa? Then we could spend whatever we liked because we'd be fining ourselves. WE'D TAKE OVER THE WORLD.
  11. I agree unless the new owner already has somebody lined up. My guess is it'll still be at least a few more weeks before anything happens, and by that point you aren't going to want to find a new manager and then hit the transfer market. Lambo is going to get some cash and a chance to prove himself in one more season. Then, depending on how that goes, we're either searching for a new manager come January or not.
  12. More like a take-forever, am I right?

I'd rather not but it wouldn't greatly bother me if it came with success. We'd still be the same club and with the same history but just with a new image. I don't see how we'd be the same club. Are the Indianapolis Colts really the Baltimore Colts? Once you change the name, the colours and potentially where the stadium is located, you become a new team. I would feel free not to support this new team - indeed, I would passionately despise it, as the team that ended the existence of Aston Villa. There's a huge difference between changing your name and what the Colts did. The Colts moved from Baltimore to Indianapolis, a city that is 600 miles away and in an entirely different state. This would be like Villa moving to Carlisle or Bournemouth.
  14. I see what you did there. I clearly didn't see what I did... What are Villa fans/players called? Morons?
  15. If Arif isn't interested maybe it's because somebody with a whole prostitute island surpassed his offer.
  16. I don't know who would be good for Villa, or who wouldn't, I just enjoy the idea that Randy Lerner's primary motivation is to sell to somebody that's "good for the club" or whatever. Because that's how businessmen operate. Randy Lerner is selling Aston Villa because he feels he isn't the answer, and he wants the club to succeed. It's certainly not because he's trying to salvage his money! Come on.
  17. If the shirts are selling themselves would that make them prostitutes?
  18. Now, now, we're all idiots on the internet.
  19. I'd prefer the owners of the Texas Rangers for this same reason, but they've already denied any interest. Maybe they're just denying it to throw this board off the scent!
  20. Jim Crane? Owns the Houston Astros, a baseball team.
  21. First google search result New York real estate mogul arrested in Turkey on suspicion of running prostitute ring on $60m luxury yacht He was acquitted though. There's one way to increase morale.
  22. Well if the guy on Twitter with 64 followers says so, it must be true.
  23. Yes, though the Mail says West Ham is willing to give him £65,000 a week, so he's not that free.
  24. Yes but there is no relegation in US sport. Very fair point, but the ego of a person spending £200 on a football club doesn't believe it has to worry about relegation. When Randy Lerner bought the team, even though he knew relegation existed, he never thought it'd be his problem. Tell that to the chap who bought Fulham or those guys at Blackburn. Anyone who buys a PL club without understanding the threat of relegation is an idiot, pure and simple and I wouldn't want them anywhere near our club. As for Lerner, I'm sure he did know about it and I'm sure he never thought it was going to be an issue but then I'm sure he never planned on doing such a terrible job of running the business either. That's my point. Anybody buying a club knows it's there, but it's the whole "that will never happen to me, I'm too good/smart/handsome" etc
