Who has been ridiculed for wanting Gill to play or be given a chance? The people who have been ridiculed are those saying they'd rather Gill be here next season than Sherwood or those creating ridiculous theories to have a go at Sherwood for not picking him. That deserves to be ridiculed. Wanting him to have a chance does not.

Wouldn't change my opinion much. Overall he's been pretty poor for the club and we've come far too close to the edge for me to respect the man. And also considering tom fox runs the place now I'll give him the credit when we win the fa cup

What a peculiar and sad thing to enjoy. There is an almost worryingly personal dislike there for what essentially was just a man doing his job poorly. No one has made me dislike watching the club I love as much as Paul Lambert. He may be the nicest bloke in the world but I dislike him a lot for that.

No of course not but he's made a few mistakes that all managers make. Not even mourinho and Wenger get it right every game. I don't see any of those as making me sceptical about his tactics. I think on the most part he's been tactically good. He sets us up to get the best out of the players he picks and the football we play has been attacking and entertaining.

Which is ridiculous when you look at who it was against, the fact it was a semi final at wembley and it was only his 5th start (earlier i said 3rd but forgot about a couple of cup games) at senior level. -
I would love to see Gill and Grealish behind Benteke to see what that front 3 will do.

I think he's going to be spoken about a lot over this next week, really hope he continues this form for the rest of the season. Wonder what Roy and Neville are thinking. Thank god he signed that new deal earlier on this year. -
Makes no difference to my enjoyment of villa winning to also enjoy how bad Lambert continues to look.

God knows what he did. Sherwood is doing a lot of damage to Lambert's reputation right now.

There were a few times today when Sanchez would have made the tackle Westwood couldn't or win the header Westwood couldn't. But give me that kind of play on the ball over what Sanchez has offered the last few games any day. Our passing was so slick at times.

I expected a lift with whoever we got which is why I was anyone but Lambert. But this is more than just a new manager lift. Excited to see what he can do with us. Wonder if people would still rather gill over him next season.
