  1. If these are the right way round, it's another notch in the bow of the "eye test"
  2. Amazingly, they beat us twice since then and still only gained 3 points on us.
  3. It's obvious his confidence is shit. Have we learned nothing from Bailey? We need to back him. We saw how he can play earlier in the season when he didn't have his swagger sapped away from him by the rigors of the PL.
  4. His ankle/foot got caught in the turf but it was his knee that twisted. Could be innocuous but those can also be really bad if he tore one of those ligaments.
  5. Yeah we really need to have a better chant for Dougie
  6. Diaby always seems to just strike/control the ball too lightly
  7. But he was extremely successful here? In fact, I'd say he played his best football here. He's not exactly Agbonlahor. He was at his most hardworking and professional in his last few seasons here. If he's going to slip into any habits, surely they'd only be good ones? I think your last paragraph would be true had he joined last season but this season and beyond, we're at a level where he's not exactly going to stroll back into the team. If Ramsey gets back up to speed, he is pretty damn good on that left hand side and will run him close. We don't need him like we once did. He'll be a very useful tool, but one of many in our toolbox. If he comes out of it and makes himself undroppable like Bailey has then great, but he's not guaranteed a spot in this Villa team, and certainly wouldn't be given preferential treatment by Unai you would think.
  8. What difference would it make if he went to Newcastle vs Villa? He wouldn't stay at City forever, if anything coming back to Villa you would think would give him more vigor to perform than any other club.
  9. He's better than Ramsey and Zaniolo, so if we had a chance to sign him for a reasonable package, why wouldn't we? Because he made some Villa fans sad a few years ago?
  10. Because he's outspoken and he's an agent. Either one of these things is enough for people to hate him, but in tandem? Might as well be the devil.
  11. I remember people used to say he had a bad attitude or something (probably influenced by their feelings of his dad), and every indication couldn't be further from the truth. He seems to be one of the most humble footballers I've seen. Just took that substitution in his stride and went on to keep improving as a player. Never moans, always ready to come off the bench and make a telling impact.
  12. Forgot how bad Championship football could be. We've really come a long way in a short space of time. It's why I can never understand when people moan about our current team knowing we were playing kick and rush football up to Scott Hogan at the Madejski in the way too recent past.
  13. "reach verbal agreement" Was Fab in the room with Leon and Monchi when this happened?
  14. No, in all comps they have him as 16 and 12
  15. Bruce that January: "Who are the players in the league with the best form right now?". The answer was Hourihane, Lansbury and Hogan. We went 1 for 3 there.
  16. Unreal £15m. Suso deserves our eternal gratitude.
  17. Transfermarkt has Ollie on 11 goals and 12 assists in the league so far this season.
  18. It was very obvious he was low on confidence after that hamstring injury. It's taken a long time for him to gain it back and trust his body to do the things he wants it to do.
  19. How is Watkins constantly getting in behind on 3 CBs? It's like I'm watching prime Okore - Richards
  20. Why are they not closing down? This is quite ridiculous.
  21. We finally get to see a Tielemans thunderbastard
  22. These are actually garbage. Best league in the world housing a mistake championship team.
  23. All things being equal, this thread should be looking like this right now
