It could only end in further humiliation.
  2. Sander Berge at Belgian champs Genk is going to be a an excellent DM. Broke through with my Vålerenga, and he’s the biggest talent we’ve seen for his age since John Carew. Immense physique, incredibly intelligent and level headed, and calm on the ball. Expected to move on to a bigger stage in the summer, and I’d love for us to sign him if we go up. Gives Vålerenga a nice sell on fee as well, so double positive for me
  3. We’ll either beat them or we won’t. A Useless prediction (c).
  4. I can’t quite decide if this is Kenneth Williams worthy or not.
  5. This exactly. I’m more emotionally invested in this team than I have been for years. That’s all thanks to Dean Smith.
  6. Meh. Brentford’s analysts picked the numbers anyway.
  7. I don’t want to appear arrogant about it, as I don’t for a second think it’s going to be easy, but man am I relieved to be playing Derby not Leeds. Leeds would be a spiteful, aggressive and nasty game, which really doesn’t suit us. I also happen to think that Leeds have a higher ceiling than Derby, and could potentially cause us big problems. We have absolutely battered Derby twice this season. It won’t be easy, but I’m feeling good about our chances.
  8. Haha. I am very pleased. Not because I think Derby will be easy, but because those cheating words removed don’t deserve anything.

I don’t fully agree with that either, but that wasn’t really my point. The Buffoons club in the US’ political leadership certainly has more than the one prominent member, and if we’re talking avout balance, Congress has certainly failed to be an effective check against the buffoonary going on in the White House as much as Labour are failing to be an effective opposition to May’s calamitous «leadership».
  10. How he was shipped out on loan in favour of Nyland I will never, ever know. Steer might not be a top class Premier League keeper, but they’ll find Amelia Earhartt, Bigfoot, Eldorado, Atlantis, intelligent life on Mars and a cure for cancer before anyone can find evidence of Nyland being better than him.
  11. Horrible kick off time. No bank holiday in Norway, no time to get to a pub, just straight home from work and pray there’s no traffic.
  12. Griezmann leaving Atletico. Where might he be going? Anyone know any massive clubs with unlimited funds and a badly bruised ego, not named Real Madrid?
  13. Might be because their approach is to kick and bully the other team.
  14. Yep, but that is also a direct consequence of them playing spectacularly deep, and doing it really rather well. We won’t be up against anything like that at Wembley. Normally, however, teams set up like that against us at their peril (ask Boro fans). We almost always find openings. That West Brom managed to hold on today is testament to their defensive qualities, but also us being nowhere near our best.
  15. It’s certainly our weakest link. Kodjia isn’t ideal either, tactically. Neither Leeds nor Derby will be playing as deep as WBA, though, which will suit Green better. I’m not sure there’s a better option! Maybe just play Albert and tell him to stay the **** away from any penalties that might come our way.
  16. I don’t disagree with much of that, but I can’t agree with the bit in bold. We were the better team over two games.
  17. I won’t be sleeping anytime soon, that’s for sure. Heart is still racing. Might have gone for a run if I didn’t think it would wake the whole house.
  18. I think so too. We’ll improve from this, I’m sure. We have to.
  19. Albert needs to be locked away somewhere safe until his contract is up. Can’t let him anywhere near anything resembling a crucial situation.
  20. You’d have to hope this makes them stronger for Wembley, because the occasion certainly seemed to have got the better of them tonight.
  21. I didn’t even cheer I think. I just broke down in a massive sigh of relief, almost breaking into an embarrasing cry. That was horrible to watch.
