    Well this season must have been a massive reality check for Jack. Not first choice for a very poor Villa side and not getting a look in with the England 21s is evidence of how much he has regressed. It’s pretty much make or break next season.

    In fairness to Whelan he edges him by quiet a margin. I think he would be a decent signing to rotate with Jedi, neither of them are fit to play every game. A lot of Stoke fans seemed opposed to selling him which speaks volumes

    I'm still not convinced we need to sack Bruce. However I just read that Frank De Boer is talking to Rangers! If he'd consider taking the Rangers job, he consider taking over here. He would be a fantastic appointment.

    He's 18! He needs to fill out a bit before he's ready for another loan. Certainly has the talent to make it.

    It makes no difference, we have a lot of football to play and he's our first choice keeper.

    Give the lad a chance, he had a decent debut. He's not covered himself in glory since but thats no different than most of his fellow new arrivals. I don't doubt his ability yet and I actually think we have a very good team overall. They just like this lad need time to gel. Hopefully that will happen sooner rather than later.

    FFS, can people please get it into their heads that Bruce, like any new manager, needs time. It seems to be an alien concept to some Villa fans that it might be worth waiting a while before writing off a manager. Remember Bruce was only appointed in October.

    Well it's over to Bruce now. Huge turnover of players in January, it's going to take real leadership to get us into the playoffs. But that's what Bruce is getting paid to do. He has the players he wanted. It should be easy for him. No excuses this time. And the same goes for our players.

    As I've said it this thread before he always puts in an honest effort. I think he lacks football intelligence. He has the technical ability to be a far more effective player but just can't piece it together in his head. In his current form we won't miss him if he goes

    He was decent in the Euros, scored against Portugal in the group game and got the consolation in the French game. I'm sure he'll do a job for us. Looks like he has the right attitude anyway (at least for Iceland)

    Bruce must take responsibility for this. Not for the first time he picked the wrong team. It's 2017, and he gave Gabby 90mins. The mins boggles. Alan Hutton was our best player! I also want to know why we sold Gestede at the very time we needed him. If someone honestly offered upwards of £10million for Amavi we'd be mad not to sell him.

    Well I'm pretty sure one can be committed in their workplace but also be willing to leave if a better offer comes along.

    Seriously, your basing your view on his "commitment" off a tweet!! Seriously Pal! What does "commitment" even means these days. There not a player in our squad who wouldn't be gone if the right offer came long. And in fairness to Ayew he can hardly be faulted for effort.
