  1. Or we sign a decent players with relegation clauses including release fees in their contracts. They have nothing to lose seeing as championship wages match that of most other European premier leagues
  2. Ha Ha! The most reliable place on the internet.....A David Gold tweet! I'm sure tis complete bull like most of his utterances. Austin is from the south coast and wanted to move closer to his family.
  3. Thing is though it's off the back of a draw that could easily have been a win (after we were lucky first half granted) against a Leicester side who are top after spanking the shit out of a good Stoke side, which was after we beat Palace and deservedly so. It's not like we scraped a 0-0 with a poor Pulis side and that's it. The positives have been on display for at least 210 mins out of the last 270. We are still down, no doubt about it, but the positives are that Garde even in this shithouse situation has managed to get a team spirit, a way of playing which isn't just smack it up the park and hope together and some points. It's not much but with respect to the last few months of the most abject miserable rubbish for a long long time it's a breath of (relatively) fresh air. Love this post [emoji106] [emoji106] [emoji106]
  4. If this is true I'd imagine we'd win on a second appeal, especially for a Croatian. If not then a bid for Daniel Bentley would be a good shout.
  5. he scored 19 goals in the Championship when Swansea got promoted.
  6. Jordan Bowery has been mutually consented by Rotherham
  7. I suspect the thread is HOT due to out inaction in the transfer market. The papers couldn't even be bother making up a transfer link about us, they just print Gardes quotes with sensationalistic headlines!
  8. He is one of the seven in our squad who actually managed to score a goal this season. He got an assist against County. He has huge potential . This is player who had 5 goals and 7 assists for County. What your missing is patience. A proportion of Liverpool fans seem to think Benteke is useless. Again I'd suggest their missing patience. Players take a while to adapt to managers and vice versa They need time.
  9. I'm calling bullshit on this one. First, no manager or member of our coaching staff has pointed to his "attitude" as a problem. That mistake in the summer is hardly a fair reflection of the lads attitude, he was 19 ffs. You see a picture in a newspaper and you suddenly draw conclusions on the application and fitness of a professional athlete! Second, football of all sports is littered with examples of players with the "wrong attitude" who eventually make it to the top of the game. Roy Keane had a woeful attitude at Forrest and his early days at United. Ah look around, Stoke front 3 all had pretty much failed until Hughes got his hands on them. I think in time Garde will get the best out of Grealish.
  10. They are a very average team, playing at the top of their ability, through good organization and a speedy forward who runs on to over the top balls which averts any danger. Ha! [emoji2] You still haven't answered what you think our team is?
  11. A guy who cant get on a Leicester long ball team whose possession and passing stats are near the worst in the league. Dont buy into the Leicester hype, they still are a poor side and we shouldnt be taking a player who doesnt get on for them! If Leicester are a poor side what are we?? [emoji32] There's not a player at our club who would get near the Leicester 'long ball' team.
  12. We are improving but there was plenty of pull you hair out moments Saturday evening. We still don't seem to know how to use our target men. If we play Gesture then play to his strengths. The way Veretout wasted that free kick at the end drove me crazy. Garde needs to ensure that doesn't happen again
  13. He's capable of crossing a ball which is something we're crying out for.
  14. Felt like killing Veretout at the end. What a disgraceful delivery. Garde is culpable too. How the **** can we gave 2 target men on the pitch in a team who don't seem to know how to use them!
  15. In fairness Lowton was in that category when we signed him. In fact he looked a better prospect than Roofe does now and was around the same age. Lowton player regularly for us and will probably be back in the Prem with Burnley next season.
  16. Gardes biggest problem is that the last few managers/seasons have left a group of our players (like you claim to be but obviously aren't) just not caring about Aston Villa. They need to be replaced because motivating them is beyond anyone at this point.
  17. I think it may be just as important to rid ourselves of a few senior players who are clearly not helping us at all.
  18. Sadly your opinion is fair and reasonable. There are no signs of improvement under Garde. He finally moved Richards to right back but it looks like that was forced on him by injuries rather than by design. However I'm still not giving up on Garde. I hope the club back him in the transfer market.
  19. Went straight into Forrests team and, according to my mate who at the game, was excellent.
  20. Yeah best of luck to him. He’s held in high regard at Forrest after his successful loan spell last season. He’s contracted with us until 2018.
  21. I'd actually be impressed if Garde/transfer committee manage to sign any player who is not better than what we have. It would be near impossible to spend money on fullbacks, goalkeepers, wingers or strikers worst than our bunch of clowns.
  22. he scored 17 last season! Doubt there's anything in it, he joined Lyon after Garde left.
  23. Apparently Lazio want Sender's, if so we could do worse than swap him for Ravel Morrison.
