  1. Should have known better than to be optimistic, got the first goal predicted right but did not expect this ammature defending.
  2. crack pipe, paint fumes and Caffeine in abundance, sod it why not, fed up with being negative, it is now time to be positive, we are so unpredictable we could loose 3-0 or win 4-1, I know which I prefer so am going with the 4-1. Teckers to get a hat trick Gabby or Weiman to score as well.
  3. 4-1 to us, we will be at them from the off, PL wants to get the fans back on side and winning 3 home games on the bounce for the first time in 7 years will go along way to doing this. the score will depend on if we get an early goal forcing stoke to come out of their box, if we do then 5 or 6 could be achieved. feeling really positive about this.
  4. PF is doing the job he is paid to do. I am pretty sure the hiring of managers is more RL than him. his job is to run the commercial side and the player contracts etc. I think he is doing ok as we are now self sustaining as RL requested. As we start to improve on our buys and league position then his job will be easier to sell us commercially. you have to remember to get sponsers in the position we have been in is pretty impossible so to do what he has done shows his worth. It is pretty easy to moan at akll and sundry when things do not go well but it is not his job to pick the players or tactics.
  5. Looking at the table from the last 2 years it should be possible to try and get amongst the teams from 5 - 10th place, that in my opinion is the realistic next step and maybe a cup run.
  6. Had a good game, at least he knows how to cross a ball and to find space space
  7. We were lucky, it was definitely a pen against him tonight,
  8. dont be so sure, he will no doubt have a great world cup
  9. Bennett though is a good crosser of the ball, not good in defense but good going forward. I could understand bringing him on with CB and Holt in the middle.
  10. He is the type of player who needs to be running at the ball to get the best out of him, we generally use him to hold the ball up with his back to goal, we are using him wrong and doing him an injustice. I have no doubt if he changed teams he will flourish.
  11. He is a player who fits the counter attacking play well but at home does not get the space to have an impact, he is not technical enough. Trouble is who in our squad is?
  12. The problem is we pass the ball around at the back to try and draw the opposition out, teams know this and do not fall for the bait, we play slow football allowing defenders tim to get into position, we have one man in the middle marked by two defenders. we have to change the way we play at home. away from home we rely on speed to pull defenders out of position and it works. any man and his dog can see the problem so why the hell can our proffessional staff not see it or show the ability to change it.
  13. I do not think he was fully fit today, he is not normally that lethargic, it took a while to realise he was playing.
  14. In my opinion our problems are 100% down to tactics, the constant need to have a big man up front and hoof it, the passing round the defence ending in a hoof from BG. the lack of movement and ability to find space. the inability to beat a man and pull defenses out of position. the slow pace we play. all tactics and faults that can be changed,
  15. The main problem is the complete lack of midfield. Lambert is a champions league winning midfielder, you'd think he could assemble one??? Not on the money Scrooge McLerner gives. Sorry but i just do not buy this reason, even the lower league teams show better skills in midfield, more passion and seem to know how to play, they do not cost millions so why do our players play so bad.
  16. The thing I like about him is he appears to have a football brain, he is not the fastest and will not really beat a man but he knows how to make space for a cross, his crossing mostly is great and finds the forward or the space they should occupy. he also makes intelligent runs and plays the ball well. he should start the next match instead of AW
  17. The defenders are not to blame for our crap attacking, when we have a poor defence then surely the best way to defend is to attack. we sit back and invite teams to attack us, it is pretty obvious we will let a few in.
  18. I can see us winning the next 2 games as we are away, our tactics work ok then, it just winds me up when every time we have a chance to get a breathing space from the lower teams we throw it away with out giving our all.
  19. again why only the second half? why do we only start playing when going two behind. it is crazy, as fans we would take the loss willingly if we had a go from the start and we failed, this constant sitting back is doing my head in.
  20. The thing is we did not play this way at the end of the season and beat the teams around us, we seem to be just trying not to loose at home with our set up, I just can not see what he is trying to do and why when seeing it not working he wont change it.
  21. A bit extreme these comments, but after watching that rubbish very understandable, PL can not be held responsible for CB missing numerous chances, Pathetic defending, players that are supposed to play football but can not hit the 18 yard box with a cross or beat the first man, What he can be blamed for though is only having 1 option in setting us up as a counter attacking team, at home against lower teams they sit back and we are clueless, he should have started Albi and Tonev on the wings and stretched them. We have got the players but the system is failing badly. either he needs to change it at home or we need to change him if he can not do it.
  22. PL is obviously working to a set criteria and is doing what is requested of him, his objectives were to keep us in the prem whilst getting rid of the players on top earnings, The problem is if you have a player on high earnings he must be better than others or jealousy and wage demands will enter the frey from other players wanting the same, a vicious circle. Although our tactics are wrong in our eyes they are played to try and get points and keep the confidence up. To those saying he has been poor just look at the injuries we have had to key players, yet we are still tenth in the league. I have no doubt if we start pulling away from the bottom three then the restraints will be taken off the team and we will play better. As for transfers then we will get players in but it will be one or two who will be better than what we have hopefully and improve us. In fairness we are mid table and deserve to be there on performances, we have not been hammered like last year and you can see improvement in a lot of the players, not all but then that is to be expected and those failing will be replaced at not a lot of money wasted. In my opinion PL deserves both a new deal and a bit more respect and backing from us.
  23. Hope he does well for the baggies and helps Norwich go down
  24. We have put in 3 bids apparently, this is not an indication we have moved on, If it is Albion then so what, they have as much right as us, at the end of the day Norwich have what they and most teams would want - a bidding war to get the best price for them, If they sell for less than we offered then yes this is poor, if they sell to Albion then they are helping a direct relegation contender, At the moment though its all conjecture as no quotes have been given as to how much each club has offered.
  25. You can't compare this to benteke. We actually granted his transfer request but had no offers so I don't know how we could of been unhappy with spurs. If this other club meets their valuation and we don't then we can't complain. The club may have agreed the request but us fans didn't. read back and you will see spuds had a valuation it did not meet ours and according to hearsay we turned it down.
