  1. That’s not really the point though is it? Don’t bite the hand that feeds you.
  2. I hate the mentality of some people. This guy gets paid a huge amount. All he has to do is try his best. If his best isn’t good enough, which it hasn’t been so far, then we have to continue to pay his wages. All he has to do is keep trying to be good enough. He’s happy to have a bit of a moan about not playing but undoubtedly he won’t be happy to take a pay cut to ensure that he can get a game elsewhere. Keep your mouth shut son, work your socks off and try your best to get back in the team.
  3. I never wanted him from the beginning lol! I have always wanted him to do well but often thought that he would not! I’m so glad he is proving me wrong. He is a top, top bloke. Please keep making me look like a brainless fool Deano. I love it!
  4. That’s fair enough mate but it is a choice. It sounds like you are making a good one. Some people are acting as though this is some form of taxation.
  5. You can’t have it both ways. We were all desperate to see new players come in. Now they have and it’s our turn to dig deep. I would rather have the option (remember that this is a choice) of paying £15 to watch a game that I would otherwise miss in the hope that we may be good as opposed to paying £5 to watch the same players that struggled last season, struggle again!
  6. You could do that and use Now tv to view the Sky Villa games. It might save quite a bit of cash.
  7. Sorry to pick on you and to be fair this applies to many other posts on this subject but why do you think our owners don’t give a toss? They have heavily invested in our football club, saved us from a long and deep period of regression and really bought back some pride. That all cost hundreds of millions. Our revenue is massively reduced due to closed stadia and even if it wasn’t we would still have made a significant trading loss. They are just trying to plug some of the gap. People talk about reducing it to £5. That may not even cover the cost of actually televising the game. We cannot have it both ways. Either we act like a big club and try to compete or we accept mediocrity and revert to slipping down the leagues. Surely this feels significantly better than the dark days of the Championship!
  8. I thought the PPV money went directly to the clubs?
  9. Just to put a slightly different spin on it. We will still make a massive loss this year. That has not stopped our owners continuing to invest heavily to enhance our viewing experience. We can’t have it both ways and the payment is, of course, optional. I know that these are difficult times for people but there is still an economic reality for big football clubs. I would much rather pay £15 to watch Ross Barkley and Ollie tear it up than have what was dished up for much of last season for free.
  10. Really good yesterday. Needs to keep to that level. Has all the ability he needs.
  11. I actually think that this guy is the best of a group of really good signings. He makes key saves at key times that actually result in us picking up points. We lose/draw to Sheff U without his brilliance and maybe draw against Liverpool if not for his first half saves at key times. What a difference. Great character/human being too. Love him.
  12. So we weren’t doing a Fulham last season. We were in fact doing a Leicester
  13. Well done Ollie. What a performance. Utterly spectacular.
  14. I agree with this. I would rather we signed either a left back, a centre half or another centre mid (a destroyer). They are all higher priorities in my view.
  15. Ha ha. I remember you saying that about the men’s team several time last season. Remind me how that played out?
  16. It was always going to be a big step up. Let’s hope we can do similar to what the men did last year.
  17. Nyland and Kalinic won’t be in the squad
  18. I still think our summer transfer window has been brilliant. The first team has really been strengthened but let’s not forget all of the highly rated youngsters that we have signed. In the next few years we should start to get a steady stream of quality kids bursting through. Really exciting times.
  19. Agreed. I think we are still trying to get something done but I would be amazed if it were him. Be delighted to be proved wrong though
  20. I suspect we are after a forward from another PL club or somewhere in Europe. If it doesn’t happen by Monday I am sure we will look to the Championship. Maybe Benrahma or King.
  21. Holy moly mother of God. Whoop whoop
  22. I agree with much of this but he does not try anywhere near hard enough to stop crosses coming in. Compare that to Cash. I really feel that it’s partly to do with not having the energy to do it because of poor conditioning. He needs to close down more quickly and aggressively
  23. Targett is a decent footballer who is very capable in this league. His weaknesses seem to be his conditioning and his in game concentration. If he can improve these, he will be a good PL player. If he doesn’t then he will continue to be a liability who teams target. Needs to start pushing on now. He isn’t a kid anymore
