  1. Why is there **** pay and display at **** A&E??? Pretty much had an asthma attack last night and could hardly breath, the last thing I want to think about when I'm leaving is have I got enough money, I'd much rather concentrate on not dying. If its a deterrent for people not in A&E to park there, then why not have a barrier and get a ticket to get out from the front desk in the hospital. It doesn't help that I had to sit in that waiting room for an hour too at 2 in the morning.
  2. Definitely think this could be wrapped up today, Broad's been on fire since drinks.
  3. All out 330, 298 lead, Swann has been brilliant as was Bresnan.
  4. What do I know about cricket, eh? Could be soon though with Broad gone now too.
  5. Prior Golden dick now, might change my prediction to no more than 260 before all out/retire. Edit: just noticed my typo, not going to change it though
  6. Bell gone, reckon we might get all out for less than 275 now, which isn't too bad. Bresnan lucky to not go too.
  7. On the subject of sympathy it annoys me when on Facebook people put a status like 'rip grandad 10 years today'. Why don't they go to the graveyard or have a moments reflection rather then putting it on Facebook when it's obvious they are looking for attention for people to feel sympathy for THEM rather then the deceased I can understand if it was recent, as in within about two weeks or between death and funeral, but as you say when it's upwards of that it's obvious attention seeking. And to add to it, the stream of "r u ok?" messages that go with them. Actually, just Facebook.
  8. Think this has been mentioned earlier on in the thread, but people who give tributes to and mourn celebrities who have died via overdoses. I have sympathy for the family in that situation but have none whatsoever for the "celebrity" as they did it to themselves, and it annoys even more when people claim it was a "tragedy". Just been reminded of this as I saw a story about that guy from glee, but same goes for people like Amy Winehouse. Also when it happens to non celebrities but I've never come across some one who has lost a loved one through overdose. EDIT: Also completely unrelated, the LAD Bible on facebook. Used to enjoy it as they post funny pictures from time to time, but since I started perusing reddit, I've noticed that the guy(s) who runs it just takes pictures off of the front page of reddit and try and pass it off as there picture or it was sent into them. Plus the fact that every caption has to have the suffix -LAD or -WENCH.
  9. That's ridiculous! The parents should be the only ones who have a say on what a child's name is. It opens a whole can of worms that this Judge has done this though, does that mean he lets his religious views affect other cases he deals with? Stories like this help remind me why so many people hate religion (It's one of the tamer stories though)
  10. Wow, when I saw the thread title I was expecting a story about an arsey housemate, not this goldmine that I've stumbled into I've not had this much fun reading a thread in OT since the HoneyTrap thread. Unfortunately, I have no piss story to add, only ones with copious amounts of vomit.
  11. He was one of the leading assist makers in the Bundesliga last season, his first season might I add, for a team who finished 10th. Can whip in a good set piece judging on youtube videos. From what I've heard he's a similar type of player to Gotze and Silva, the behind the striker playmaker type player. It would be awesome to have him supplying decent balls to Benteke.
  12. Profit is certainly important for the stabilising of this club, but have we failed on the pitch yet this season? The question of whether profit is more important than success can only be asked towards the end of the season and when people begin to review our season and question what we could have done to improve our standing, not before a single ball has been kicked. Questioning that now is ridiculous because we could be around the top 4 come christmas for all we know, no matter how unlikely.
  13. Sorry but no. Just no. That's a horrendous analogy. Instead of multiplying your £750 analogy by 10 million just quadruple it. Say if I pick up £3k next month. Losing £200 isn't ideal but it wouldn't really affect my lifestyle too much. I wouldn't have to adjust like the £750 guy. Now times my amount by a few million. It gets even easier to handle. £500m is pennies to these people, he could well make that back in a day, like me with my £200. I know it's a pretty bad analogy, I used £750 as an example as £50/£750 is the same percentage as £500m/£7.5bn. My point wasn't it must be tough for him, it was that although he has that much money, it's not quite peanuts in terms of his overall wealth, it's still quite a lot and I can understand why he's reducing how much Anzhi spend. My last sentence was meant to be sarcastic, hence why I said lovely russian billionaires, maybe it didn't get across as I thought it would. Obviously his "hardship" is much, much easier to deal with than normal peoples hardships. How did I end up defending Russian Billionaires and their lifestyles? Anyway, back on topic, I hate Anzhi, along with Man City, Chelsea, Monaco, PSG etc., symbolise everything that is wrong with modern day football. On top of that, they are also shit which makes them even easier to hate, and thats not even mentioning the racism.
  14. Well i have no sympathy for him and im sure he can just about cope I agree, it's the risk you take when you make money via investments and buy football clubs, and he no doubt probably will cope with losing that money. Just pointing out it's not **** all to him no matter how much he has, and I can see why it would make cut back on the money he gives to Anzhi, as similarly to the example I gave, the first thing you stop spending money on when times get tough* is pointless and frivolous luxuries. *I use this term extremely loosely.
  15. To be fair, £500m is a fair whack of £7.5bn. If you had £750 in your bank, you'd be pretty disappointed to lose £50, although it doesn't bankrupt you, it's still enough to make you reconsider how much you spend on stuff. It's the same thing, except you know, multiplied by 10 million, and it's happened to one of those lovely Russian Billionaires.
  16. As much as I would love this to happen, it just isn't. Although I think he would be within our reach financially and in terms of stature, the amount of stuff being said about this deal on twitter for me signals that this won't happen. Although loads of transfers break on twitter early, it's normally via journos, not some random "selected" by the club to reveal it. Also if the transfer was to get messy like a twitterer is suggesting, the club would shut them down immediately as they wouldn't want any leaks that could accidentally be revealed and used against them in a court battle. No club would let this amount of attention occur around a transfer that they would have seemingly tried so hard to keep quiet with local journos being in the dark and no official comment apart from Lambert confirming to fans there was interest at some point. If the club has really started using random fans on twitter to reveal transfers, I'm afraid Randy and co have lost the plot completely, and should probably reassess how they conduct business. It took me a while to let go of this one, like Belhanda, but having really thought about it, and how this would make our club look if it happened, I think this will not happen this summer. It would make look pretty small time if we revealed transfers via fans on twitter. Maybe next year or the year after that, probably never. Note: Sorry OBE, I tried to keep it about Kiyotake, but twitter is kind of central to my view of the whole transfer.
  17. For those of you who are interested in Rugby, I'm currently helping out at my local clubs Summer Camp for under 7's up to under 14's, and ex Tigers, Highlanders and All Black Flanker Craig Newby is coaching one of the groups, with Julian Salvi meant to be turning up during the week, plus some other current Tigers players, Matthew Tait was supposed to come but can't anymore for some reason. I'm so excited I've pretty much turned into a 6 year old. This week is going to be awesome
  18. There are 11 red and white shirts there from what I can see, maybe the keepers didn't have different colours back then. Regardless, a bit extreme having 11 men back to defend a corner, or whatever it is showing.
  19. I don't think this is speculation, he's already signed know nothing about him, hope he's good. EDIT: Beaten to it.
  20. that 3-3-3-1 would get annihilated, if we play 3 at the back we will almost certainly play a 5-3-2 with two wing backs to provide width, with Helenius or Weimann partnering Benteke, which is pretty mouth watering. Excited about this guy, would love to see him upfront with Benteke, but I can't think of a formation which would accommodate that and play to our other strengths around the park
  21. I remember he did something similar v Liverpool at home and gabby was about a yard away from it, would've either put us 2-0 or 1-0 up too, IIRC. I think he could be here for a while, not sure who would want that would be a big enough step up, at the minute I don't think anyone outside the top 6 are a more attractive proposition than anyone else in the league, we're all pretty much on a level playing field.
  22. I really think the best career move for Clark would be for him to be moved into a Defensive midfield position, maybe alongside Westwood as a left footed alternative. Don't get me wrong, he should be nowhere near starting in midfield ATM, but with a bit of training and some game time there, he could be great there (Our current standards great that is). Unfortunately he's too error prone to be at CB at the minute, but doesn't make up for it with physical/aerial ability like Baker does. In midfield his mistakes can be much less disastrous and get mopped up by Baker/Vlaar/Okore whereas at CB it leaves a one on one with Guzan, and as good as Guzan is, I wouldn't feel too confident in that situation. He has the technical ability to do well in midfield too, and can work on his strength to be a more dominant presence.
  23. Would love it if we get Kiyotake, but don't see it happening unless at least two of Bent, Hutton, Ireland, Bannan, N'Zogbia or Given (Is he still here?) go, he is the type of player we're crying out for I think.
