  1. The issue with Bailey is he won’t ever be at his best playing on the right side. He should play on the left side, wether as a winger or as a second striker. Wether that would be tactically possible or not having Moreno/Digne I’m not sure. Traore best position is on the right though.
  2. He’s old though, we can’t keep getting expensive players with no resale value. It’s not as if they’re the best anyways.
  3. But we might have gone with someone who’s half good. Now we have Emery and that’s the best part. Could’ve been a bit earlier so we’d have had more points possibly but we bounced back and that’s the most important thing. Gerrard contract was 2.5 year from what I remember so financially wasn’t the worst either.
  4. When you think of it, we still made some money for: Chuk, Ings, Targett, Samatta, El Ghazi, Engels (not sure) and Trez. But we ofcourse lost more. I think we need to sell one or two players with a good return (+10m). One of the best moves is that the club stopped getting players that won’t upgrade the team for longer term. We would also do well if we can offload Coutinho and sell Digne. Would give us a good space.
  5. -Winning the playoff that year would’ve got us back the Championship in a very bad management. -Through that we’ve been bought by one of the best owners around football clubs. -We stayed up when almost no one gave a chance. -We’ve beaten the champions (Liverpool) as their worst result for the last 50 years. -Getting Emery is the best part, Coutinho wasn’t. I don’t think we can consider people who were angry at the time toxic. Nor when it looked clear that Gerrard wasn’t good for example. It’s when there is short term issue and fans start going against it. I don’t think our fan base are, as much as they suffered they’re still looking forward. Sometimes we only see our issues and not following other teams. There are much worse.
  6. Everything below Spurs is important to us. Newcastle could go in a bad form, we shall hope that the gap reduces with everyone, then look what can happen in the last couple of games which are mostly 6 pointers. Liverpool and Newcastle could be misleading as they’re a game less. But Newcastle losing today make 7th as a European spot. Still the FA Cup but City is still there so let’s hope they get it.
  7. Just let’s do our job and win points here and there, see where it takes us. Then at the end of the season we have some 6 pointers. We should aim to put ourselves where we can compete by then and see how it goes. Had we won against Leicester and kept a draw against Arsenal things would’ve been much different. Just go and try to get our good form at home against Palace and take it from there.
  8. We’ve missed a big opportunity by losing to Leicester. Even Newcastle lost points. Hard for us to make up for points against City and Arsenal but hopefully we can beat City tomorrow somehow and keep this going.
  9. Cash maybe but Dinge we’d do quite well to get that amount. His wages seems high. Maybe to a promoted team?
  10. For me what they won can’t easily get void. But if they got relegated then I think it sould be really good for us and other teams aswell. We missed the opportunity by losing to Leicester had we won and City out of the way, another Europe place to play for. How many point deduction they’ll have if so? Better they go down to League 1, but a deduction of more than 50 points could see them going down aswell. I don’t think it will look good for Chelsea with what they’re doing also.
  11. A lot of games our main issue is the creativity, not the lack of pressing. For example last game against Southampton, or even Wolves (especially second half).
  12. I agree, well not as exciting as Osorio for example but definitely more than the likes of Harrison. More importantly it shows how our footballing management matured and not doing signings for the sake of it.
  13. If we sold him to City then we’ve really done well in our rebuild process. Digne and Coutinho would be hard to shift. But if some panic buyers then why not. Kesler is still around isn’t he?
  14. Getting Traore back showing how the club management is being good. How to be shrewd using the resources available without affecting long term plans. I would have liked Guendouzi or Osorio, but getting Traore back is better than getting PL reject or loan from here or there.
  15. Keep him around until the end of the season. On the bench at times.
  16. If he scored the shot against Wolves he would be remembered. But anyway hope him the best. Was unlucky to get injured when Digne was missing.
  17. You would have doubt before getting Emery, but he won't come without a proper plan. What I think is that they've realised mistakes with signing those so-called experienced players. We need talents. 40m but we've sold Grealish and Chuk which got us 120. We've been spending but mostly not needed players. We should only go for Kamara caliber or young talents which we think they'll turn good. Maybe the odd loan here or there. Hopefully we can get Osorio tomorrow, would be really happy with our business this winter. I'm actually very interested with the Duran signing. I think it would be a bargain and hopefully he gets many as early as the Leicester game.
  18. I think we’re not pushing much and see our luck on that tomorrow.
  19. I think we’ll keep it to deadline day, we’ll see if they’re ready to let him go. Maybe as we’re not in a big need we’ll just gamble on getting the best deal. If not then we’re convinced we’re fine with what we have in that department.
  20. I know but I just took the chance of the general reaction about the whole squad.
  21. That’s really overreaction, we have McGinn, Dendonker, Nakamba isn’t sold either. A.Ramsey could be back (not sure when to be honest). But I think quantity wise we’re ok in that department, Guendouzi would just improve our first 11 with a future view aswell. We weren’t starting Ings (as much as I think he’s good) but we won’t play into his way nor play him much. We might be a bit light in that department but we got potentially a very good player. For me our issue is the winger, apart from Bailey we only have Kadan Young, which I don’t mind to give a chance, but if we have the opportunity to get someone like Osorio, would give us more choices and potential. All teams has youngsters to fill the squad. 12 years ago we’ve drawn against Fergie Utd with half of the team from the academy.
  22. The thing is we could get non ready players which have the potential and get them to compete in places. But the last thing we need is to get someone who we know their limits just for the sake of rotating or whatever. I’d be happy with another 2 players such as Osorio and Moleiro (if it’s Guendouzi then much better). Atleast with those they can become something, and use them in the squad immediately aswell.
  23. For me, enough getting players from the PL (apart from the odd loan or some situations). We need to build something. Gambling on someone who might be great better than getting an average PL player who we know their limits. Don’t mind the likes of Dendonker as we lacked physicality and squad by then. But that’s it. We can’t get average players and expect them to improve our starting 11. While getting Duran or Osorio could get you a future superstar (or fail, but we won’t lose as much as getting someone who we know their limits and probably overpay).
