  1. I don’t like most of such signings, I wasn’t excited with Coutinho or even Dinge, but I think Joao is another level. He clearly fit the system (and not many team can play him unless they change their system. I think the only player who isn’t getting benefit out of our system is Leon Bailey, he’s much more effective on the right side. Before Emery I’d doubt a lot of signings as many won’t make sense with how different is it from reality. Especially Joao can’t play perfectly unless with teams the play false 9, which I’ve never liked before Emery. I haven’t watched a lot of Chelsea but whenever I watch them I think he was a threat. For me it’s not about stats only, it’s how dangerous you’re during a game. Joao, Williams, Ugarte , Pau Torres and a right back. Or probably just rotate Cash and Konsa. I think with those signings we could have a good push to top 4. Then next season try to upgrade on Watkins.
  2. If we can get 6-8m for him then we’d have done really good. It would help us as well.
  3. We definitely need to have a look. I think he’ll be a huge success if he comes here.
  4. Can’t imagine the stress before that game, I really hope we play the worse teams up until the final. Don’t want any big team to face. We just need the cup with the less stress and effort possible. What’s the point of playing Juventus and going out? I wanted us to get 7th rather than 5th because of such draws. Same with domestic cups, the easiest routes are the best. Although we have to capitalize. We’re not winning cups every year to start looking for tough challenges. We need to win things while we can, the odd result will not be remembered with the whole thing.
  5. Konsa dribble well, he’s good at taking the ball forward and the most player after Grealish I’ve seen winning us fouls. Not sure about his crosses, but it’s not as if Cash knows how to cross anyway.
  6. I guess Joao would be a better signing than Asensio anyway. Our formation is the best for him.
  7. Send him on loan to the championship and keep Archer.
  8. I’m not sure how are people willing to make us sell all of our squad, we can’t and shouldn’t buy a squad players (apart from those who have potential to start), we need to plan and upgrade our first 11 and shift the current ones to bench, if some stepped up and showed they’re better, then fair enough and healthy competition. The lovely point with Europe is that there are many fixtures if we make it through playoff and group stage. Hopefully with two good cup runs as well we could rotate. We also should rotate in the league itself.
  9. I'd keep him now that we're in Europe. He'd help being rotated in the league as well. I'd consider offers that comes to him though. Him and Coutinho could free some space in our wage bill.
  10. Now that we qualified to the Conference League, I think we should keep him. He won't get that good offers I'd assume anyway. Even if we got two wingers, we'll still be short by selling him and Traore. For me I'd keep both while getting a new right winger. I don't think anyone would mind having the likes of Bailey starting in Europe, and having their part in the squad in the PL. I also still think that if we play with wingers, he'd do fantastic on the left.
  11. Archer, Tim, Ramsey are already considered as new signings. If we get a winger, midfielder, center back and a striker (someone better than Watkins otherwise would be pointless). Then I think we’d have a great squad. Having Bailey, Buendia, McGinn, Ramsey, Traore, Dinge as squad players would be a real upgrade. We also can easily give them game time and rotate them with league games. You’d have the three youngsters aswell.
  12. It’s not his game, nor his best attribute. Most of his Villa games where he did well were when he was at the left. Really hope Emery give him the opportunity tomorrow, without Moreno we’d miss some threat, he could fill his place. I don’t think Ramsey would have an issue being moved to the right side.
  13. That game, the playoff before that, West Brom, Man City Wembley, West Ham. 5 games were really critical for our club (I’d also put Fulham away), so one win and two draws (well West Brom considered a win), those games gave us a huge push, the other 3 somehow been a blessing to lose (well not sure about the City one, would a win led us to relegate? Will Europe stop Grealish from going? Will we coup with Europe with the mess we went to with DS then SG?). Then we go back again to Whelan Penalty which he missed, somehow I was on that game, the game after that with caretaker, also went to Fulham then Brentford with a caretaker. I told some Villa friends that I shall come when we need a manager changing lol. Anyway, many critical things came, some losses became wins after that. Now we have a similar challenge, a clear opportunity to start writing history again, a moment for the sleeping giant to wake up, it’s the time to erase the myth that’s called (top 6). It’s the time to make everyone listen the roar. I didn’t want to write anything about that before the game, It’s really nervy, but just found myself writing.
  14. As long as he doesn’t play on the left, I don’t think we can see his best. Will we change our formation to suit him? Im not sure. But without Moreno I’d like him to play on the left, I’m sure how will Ramsey cope on the right, but he’s really a threat on that side, a lot of assists. He’s not that good cutting from the side defenders can stop him.
  15. There are worse players who no one would take are currently in top 4 teams.
  16. Let’s see if we make it first, can’t bother to think before that to be honest.
  17. As I said before, Conference League is the best for us. We still haven’t made it but it would be fantastic. The only thing that let me not want a Brighton win tonight isn’t us to catch them. But them to rest players against City, then play at their best against us. But again, I don’t think their manager would risk a big result by playing fringe players against City. He would also give chances to some kids I guess, especially with some of his main players willing to leave. What makes preferring them to win aswell is that it would give Spurs and Brentford hopes to be less which would affect their games. If Brighton draw (or lose for the Brentford case), than a win for Brentford would take them to Europe (assuming Spurs doesn’t win). While Spurs winning takes them to Europe (while a draw for us takes them to Europa League). So a Brighton win would be perfect in that aspect aswell. If they played anyone apart City I’d have them drawing with a risk of them not winning, but for now I guess I would cheer for Brighton tonight. Just made up my mind.
  18. I think the Newcastle win gave a feeling to Liverpool like Brighton wins against Utd and Arsenal to us. Made us going to Wolves with a lot of doubts then have a meltdown after winning against Spurs. To keep it in our hands we need a win at Liverpool, or Brighton failing to win against Southampton. Both unlikely but doable. We also have a critical game before both which could increase our chances, Spurs against Brentford. Liverpool uncertainty by not having big chances for CL while still having a slim chance could go to our hands. Hopefully we can play that while Spurs losing to Brentford.
  19. West Ham were even worse when they began their season which definitely wasn’t affected by many games. Somehow they got some results while having more games in Europe. Leicester got 5th (almost 4th) while playing in Europe. They’re almost relegated while not playing a single European game. Playing in Europe (Especially Conference), will give us a very great chance to move forward. We can promise some players gametime without affecting our league performance. We can’t get good players and think they will be happy to be in the bench while waiting for a player to get injured or so.
  20. Haven’t heard of him before we were linked to him to be honest.
  21. They didn’t at their first time. Leicester didn’t even play this season. We need them to lose, they still haven’t lost to Southampton and we still haven’t lost to Liverpool. There is still a chance for the winner last game qualify to Europe.
  22. We haven’t lose to Liverpool yet, Brighton didn’t win against Southampton, Tottenham didn’t win against Brentford. Surely it’s likely we’ll lose and Brighton will win, but it’s still not a given. Hopefully the gameweek begin with a Spurs lose so it gives us a space while watching us against Liverpool. Ofcourse Newcastle has to beat Brighton which isn’t a given aswell.
  23. The age, potential and resale value factors should all be considered.
  24. There is a risk of us getting 10th, but it’s a small one. Fulham winning next two and Brentford aswell while us losing both. But I’d take that risk if it meant Spurs losing to Brentford while Brighton being pressured and losing aswell. Brentford still have City aswell.
