As i've stated before, taking everything into account, potential, proximity, history, value, i think only Arse and Ure are bigger than us.Citeeehh, and i'm glad of their success, aren't as big as us, and although Chelsk, Lplop and Spuds are bigger than us atm, i think if correctly exploited, we are potentially a bigger club. 4 million potential supporters within a 70 mile radius of VP, no large rivals within that radius, makes us a unique opportunity and a fantastic challenge, with enormous opportunities.

Ramsey, Wilshire, Ozil, Diaby, Rosicky, Flamini, Arteta and Carzola, before they buy anymore..........Ki going to Arse......no chance.

Sll Hutton to Boggies, buy Yedln, ideal for awing back role, play Bacuna on the right of a 3 man midfield alongside Ki and Delph, get 2 good attacking playrs to play alongside CB.....sorted and cheap. If Delph goes, but De Guzman or Dembele. If Vlaar goes then i still would be tempted to go for Kaboul, or maybe Olsson from Olybion

I think Ki is a good player, best player by a mile last season on the pitch against Sland, run the show, a far,far better player than Westwood, and for £3/4M for a 25 yeasr old is cheap imho. If we don't buy him, i am really worried what that says about our club.

Don't rate Dawson tbh, although injury prone, would prefer Kaboul.

Have to be honest don't do it, it was a bit of an optimistic view, but that kind of player. Saying that, he is exactly the kind of player we should be signing.

Not sure about Cambiasso or Ashley signing on for £50/60 k per week with no resale value.Would rather push the boat out and try and buy someone who MIGHT increase in value, someone like a Wijnaldum for about £10m, on the basis that he should/would increase in value over the next 2 or 3 years. I might have taken a gamble on Bojan as well. Next season we have Carruthers, GG, Grealish, Donacien and Robinson, who all look as if they have the potential to be reasonable players, we should base our purchases around nurturing these. I would look to replace Westwood and Gabby from the 1st team, and then see what happens with the takeover, and the season, but spend what we have on replacing these 2.

When we played Chelsk 2 seasons back he was the best player on the pitch.Fast,aggressive, combatative, competant on the ball......the modern midfielder if you like, the following season, almost a completely different player.I wonder if he was one of the "victims" of Karsa and Culverhouse. Would keep hold of him, and hope that he refinds his confidence as i still think he could develop into a very good player.Prefer him to Westwood any day of the week when he plays like he did against Chelsk.

Being completely bias, but also balanced, i think the only 2 teams in this country bigger than us, and thats Arse and Ure. Draw a 100 mile radius of VP and you have potentially 4m supporters, there are no real rivals within this 100 mile radius.The potential for Villa is enormous.Whatever Citeeeh do, we are a bigger club, Chelsk and Spuds have the London effect, but are in direct opposition, Lplop rely on foreign supporters, and those who should be supporting us.Every time you meet a sad case in Worcester/Leamington/Cannock etc, HE/SHE should be a Villa fan, it has been because of the lack of ambition of our club that they are not. Hes a good solid defender, and alongside a quicker defender, his reading of the game, and experience, is crucial. Don't recall Vidic being very quick tbh. Vlaar and Okores, with a good defensive midfielder in front of them, would be a good defence imho.

Will be the 1st player replaced under a new manager. Nowhere near as good as some on here think, completely invisible on wens, granted most of our players were, but at least Delph looked as if he was trying to play. I don't know if its wishful thinking, or just a reflection of how poor we are, that AW is constantly talked up. The only current players good enough for AVFC, are Delph, CB , and Vlaar. Juries out on Bacuna and Okores.....thats it.

If its the Russian guy at Arse, who can't get ownership, then i wouldn 't complain tbh.

He cost next to nothing, in a key game yday he came on after 20 mins and had a positive effect on the team, thats all i want.Never going to be a top quality player, but works hard, and played well yday.Good Luck to him.

I'm not really bothered what his celebrations meant, he scored 2 good goals. He is a bit of a johnny on the spot goalscorer, and i don't think it was any coincidence that he looked better alongside Bowery than he did Gabby.Bowery does more running and movement is better.Bowery is an average player, but i think Weimann could become a good goalscorer.

His enthusiasm, aggression, movement, touch, lay offs, should embarrass Gabby tbh.Bowery is an average, but he tries.Good luck to the lad.

Charlie Adam cost Stoke, what £2m.?.......hes a far better passer than Westwood.Good passers don't have to cost over £20m.Westwood is certainly not a great passer.

Copy the Southampton approach. Appoint a manager who has a positive approach to the way the game should be played, implement it onto the current players, gradually buy better players to replace the current players with the right attitude and good ability.A good manager who can get the best out of his players, and instill confidence, and demand respect. Have to say kevan, your brother does look a good footballer, hopefully he will be able to make many appearances for us, he is my kind of player.
