Apparently the take over is done but they are holding off announcing it until the window closes. I think it's far more likely that Lerner is just giving Lambert the usual transfer budget. Its in the other thread but i stated in this one a few nights ago that merson had said we'd be making a money signing around two weeks but this has happened quicker, but in terms of buying us, he said we're bought and will be announced in sept.

Should have a really nice midfield coming together, him and Delph could really cut through midfields

Well, after many rumours it seems as though we maybe about to see our first money signing in CM Ki, according to the telegraph anyway. Just want to see what is everyones thoughts on this? Personally think he'll be great and will offer a spark in midfield!

Seems like what Merson said was right, although didnt expect it this soon myself, what a buy this would be though, great playmaker and set-pieces, could finally see some corner goals this year! hopefully what mers said about the takeover is right now

That team looks vaguely okay. We might even come about 13th with that so that is progress. We'd get completely over run with that system. Not that I enjoy negative tactics but that midfield has nothing to protect the 3 centre halfs at all. If we do not buy a DM I personally would (but lambert won't) Play Clarke in a holding role in a 532. Should the Wing backs get caught up field you at the very least can quickly shuffle to crate a back 4 or stay as a DM with the 3 behind. Then you I would go with Delph & Bacuna because of their energy levels. One could make a run while the other patrols the space between the box & DM. Up top it'll be who partners Gabby, you could go with AW or JC. Letting Cole drop off. I think we'd be a much better defensive unit & harder to breakdown. There will be an actual proper signing from another club after 2 weeks if anything merson says is to go by (check my post in the club sale thread to see how i know these things), they're just snatching up some frees that are floating around before anyone else gets them in and another free will be in within two weeks aswell after Richardson, again, like ive said before its come from his mouth via a friend, not mine, so if you dont believe me then im not bothered, just dont go shouting your mouth off saying im chatting balls.

Actually it would make a lot of sense to delay it, if the new owner was somehow able to sanction/fund spending in the meantime. The second we get new owners you can guarantee that selling clubs will bump up the asking price quoted to us for players. At the moment we're seen as paupers and as such that actually puts us in a better bargaining position. Saying that I don't believe it. I actually wrote a post here yesterday, then deleted it before posting. I have a feeling we are already sold, but delaying the announcement. The problem is, I couldn't think of any reason that would be the case. Something about the whole situation smells "funny" or false. I know many think the aroma is just that the whole situation stinks. But I just keep feeling there is something of a facade. If the deal was done, but being kept secret for some reason, a lot o things that don't make sense to me, suddenly do make sense. Then this merson tale.... I'm not one for jumping to any conclusions, but I just have to say that this, to me, would explain a lot of mysteries. These are the sorts of thoughts that I am clinging onto at the moment, but then there are so many questions that remain, simple things such as: Contracts for the main senior players? Money for transfers so we can get ahead of our rivals for once? A new contract for Lambert who only has one year left? And probably the main one, why wait to make an announcement especially when it's season ticket renewal time? Until I start to see some of these questions being answered, I'm afraid to say that we have not been sold, yet. if its anything to go buy, the b mail and other papers are saying contracts are to be dealt with soon regarding delph, vlaar and gabby, if this does occur then it hints towards goings on, but could just be part of the £10 million apparently given to lambert

Lambert really wasnt a fan of Keane apperently, but the new owner was and they agreed to have him come in

I have reason to believe that this is true. Unfortunately that reason is desperation. I would be more re-assured if it was someone closer to the club, but i'll hold on to whateveres around at the moment, tired of waiting now

Just joined on here after watching over about speculation talk the last few weeks, but today heard something which i thought i could share. You can disagree with me all you want but the simple thing i've heard is that Merson has said we've sold to an American owner who he said will be announced actually in September and also that he was the one who wanted Roy Keane in and Lambert wasn't actually a fan of the idea. This has come through a friend who is close with Merson and drinks with him, alot. Again i know how this works with most people calling stuff like this rubbish, but this is no lie, we will just have to wait n see.

Been looking on here all summer with the takeover talks happening and ive joined really so i can get involved and because i actually have some information (as to whether people believe me or not is different+ i'll even share my own twitter so yeah). Looking forward to new season, utv!
