  1. Stopped a certain goal before they scored, should have done better for the goal though. Have to say KEA and Gabby were an embarrassment today, Bennett should do better, but them 2 were awul all game. The quality of football, and player is the worst i have seen down VP in 40 years.
  2. He's average at best, 3 Gifs in 2 seasons? He is ok at passing, but no better than i expect a PL to be, but his lack of strength, power and pace, isn't compensated by his passing ability. He's not exactly Hoddle is he.
  3. Would we be better off playing Bent in place of Gabby?
  4. No evidence to suggest hes a liability........when was the last time he was responsible for giving a goal away? Played well again yday. For a 22 year old CH he shows a lot of promise.
  5. i'm amazed people still rate this kid. Could you see Westwood doing a Charlie Adam pass to Odemwinge?..........no, and thats his job, granted, we haven't got anybody who can, thats PLS fault, but at least they can run around a bit more, and be more physical. He's a liability.
  6. Not at home hes not BJ.His lack of a touch makes him a liability at home.He should have gone off rather than Weimann yday
  7. I don't see the point of playing Holt.I'd rather playTonev or Helenius tbh. Came on yday, so we changed from a team that usually hoofs it, to a team that always hoofs it.Meat and drink to Collins and Thomkins yday, we played right into their hands, needed a player to makeruns off Benteke, and play on the floor more.Collins was a liability against players on the floor, he looked world class yday. Lambert is completely clueless.
  8. My views about Gabby entirely VillaChris, not good enough at home, terrible touch, lack of awareness, completely devoid of movement.Very poor today.
  9. Defensively , far better than Lowton, who almost give 2 goals away in the 1st half, not so good on the ball, but him and Albrighton at least tried to take the game to West Ham. Much better RB than Lowton.
  10. Thought he did ok when he got on.He will be fine. Rather worryingly, Bertrand got absolutely skinned for the 1st goal, and Lowton was shocking, defensively, in the 1st half. There was a bit of pathetic booing, but nothing too bad.
  11. And yet as a RB he kept Baines, Shaw and Lplop quiet. How many goals does Lowton have to give away before we realise he is a liability? Bacuna could become a very good RB, but only, imho, an average midfielder at best.
  12. Bacuna, Bertrand, or Bennett, with Okores, would give you a very quick back 4, a good foundation for a good team. Delph alongside a , say Ki from Sland, plus a good No 10, would be a good start.
  13. Should definitely stop as RB.Solid , quick, aggressive, our best player yday, what exactly would he add to midfield? Keep him at RB, and buy 2 good midfielders in the summer.
  14. I wanted him gone, i'm still not convinced, but i want to see who he signs in the summer, and more importantly who he replaces before making my judgement.Get 2 players in, we are as good as Everton.
  15. Not a big fan of Clark, but fairs fair he has improved this year, and been quite consistently good this season. At the start of the season i would have said get rid, but now i am quite happy for him to remain and be a 3rd or 4th choice CB.Would prefer Vlaar and Okores as the 1st choice, but Clark deserves credit this season.Thought he played quite well again last night, against a player he had a very poor game not long ago.
  16. We look more secure with him at RB. He certainly isn't a no 10.
  17. By the way , i would have the Korean fella from Sland, in the summer as well.
  18. If Mata goes to Ure, we should try and get Kagawa on loan.Would probably try to get Moses in as well.
  19. For me 1. God 2. A Evans 3. Laursen 4. Ugo 5. Alpay
  20. I'm not bothered if he is late, lives far away, whatever.......i just don't think he is a very good RB.Gives too many goals/chances away for me, not stong enough, or quick enough, not got the best positional play either.Good at crossing, and not bad going forward, but i like my defenders to be able to defend, and for me he can't.
  21. Good post Wes. For me though a defender's first priority is to defend, if he can play football/a pass, then that is a bonus for me.Bacuna is a far better defender than Lowton, and so for me i would persevere with him in a back line of Bacuna .......Vlaar.......Okores.....Bennett/Bertrand. That offers a good balance of pace, aggression, strength.imho.Delaney and Barratt were the best 2 defensive RBs i saw at VP in the last 40 years, and they were crap at going forward, but Giggs said Barratt was his toughest opponent. In midfield, PL does seem to have a bit of an obsession with Westwood to me.He does see qualities in him that i can't see, and as you say he seems to be his project, around who he is going to base his team around. For me however i would play a diamond 4 away rom home, and 2 holding midfielders and an attacking midfielder just in front, a 4 :2:3 :1 system if you like, and i'm not sure Westwood has the right attributes to play in either system.Delph does, but we need , either Sylla to come good, or another player to come in to play on the right side of midfield, and a good attacking midfielder, a la Sissokho. Hoolihan could do that role for a while, but a Hughes/Lestienne kind of player is probably more needed.
  22. Bacuna, who wasn't far off MOM wouldn't get in? A defence of Bacuna, Vlaar, Okores, and Bertrand, and i wouldn't rule out Bennett either, would be a good defence imho. I still think Sylla will come good, and Delph has had a reasonable season. Not convinced about Westwood, so for me need at least 1 good midfielder, maybe 2, and good attacking wide players to put Gabby and Weimann under pressure.
  23. Should stop at RB now, could be a very good RB, gives the team a better defensive foundation. His strength and pace are much more superior than Lowton's .
