    Pubs

We're going to find a pub near to Liverpool St beforehand.
  2. Agree. Try the Lambert thread, his critics are having a field day
  3. Agreed. City have demolished better teams than us this seaason but for some people it's any excuse to slate Lambert. We've got 38 pts from 37 games. I don't think many are using this game as an excuse to have a moan. There are many that can't be objective

  5. Maybe so but we'd have been more effective on the break.
  6. Correct. What do some expect when 3 strikers are unavailable?
  7. Gabby's pace would be a great asset in this match so I'd give Tonev 15 mins or so to really stretch their defence if it's 0-0 at that point
  8. I'm sure it's a case of dotting the i's and crossing the t's
  9. If it's the name I was told last night then it won't be meltdown for the right reasons....
  10. 14th as I can see us finishing above Sandwell Town and Sunderland.
  11. Still waiting for mine as well.
  12. Wouldn't be too surprised if Red Bull were still interested.
  13. Naarich look to have ended Chelsea's title bid so at least the media w**kfest over Mourinho may quieten down. Let's hope Palace hold Liverpool tomorrow so that Mickey Quinn can't drone on about his beloved team.
  14. I will laugh when they go down, because of their fan's reactions and how they for some reason thought they were gods gift to football. People like Wiz on here, telling us they know better and of course, McNally on twitter making comments too. I might send him a nice tweet, wishing him well in the championship. Can you send him one on my behalf too please!
  15. He's on loan from Spurs so I doubt Fulham going down will make any difference to whether we can sign him or not.
  16. Excellent performance yesterday, his movement off the ball was very good. Hopefully he will kick on next season.
  17. The knuckle dragging neanderthals in our village are hosting celebration parties tonight. Classless scum.
  18. Sad to see Fulham drop as it's a great away day, I hope they come back up at the first attempt.
  19. Okore was on the lap of appreciation, I didn't see Luna, and I thought it strange Helenius wasn't there. I don't blame PL for not coming round with the players, there were a few idiots screaming for his head when we were 3-1 up. There was no need for that.
  20. Me too. He deserves the chance to spend some real money and buy quality rather than squad fillers.
  21. Pleased for him, hopefully some of his detractors will recognise the kid has ability
  22. Let's finish the season above Sandwell Town.
  23. and rightly so. I don't want to see some saggy council estate spaniels ears thank you very much. Speak for yourself
  24. So the posts which you don't agree with are evidence you are right. Hmmmm I think those that offer some defence of Lambert are simply trying to add a level of balance to this thread because it so frequently has none. But whenever anyone tries to do this they tend to get rounded on and labelled, (which is against the site guidelines folks please note). It would be impossible to say things are going well at the moment or to argue that Lambert holds no blame for it, quite evidently he does. But some people, myself included think his tenure is a symptom of the problems at the club rather than the cause. No question Lambert has made mistakes and bad decisions at times but even Lerner has admitted he has done what was asked of him. The problem is that while Faulkner was still talking about Europe these last few years the reality was that the brief for Lambert was to cut costs and stay in the PL for a couple of years. It not been enjoyable in the slightest but that is what he has done. Now I'm not happy with that as a brief, I'm not happy with that as the expectation level of the club and I'm not happy with a lot of the performances or some of the signings. But I still think Lambert is a decent manager and will either here or elsewhere prove that to be the case. I expect that will cause some to want to label me a Lambert lover or something equally infantile but it really isn't the case. I've have been and will continue to be critical of him but at times I think this thread seriously lacks balance, context and reason. Excellent post. This post almost compensates having to trawl through pages of bickering.
