The RJW63 Official Jack Grealish Appreciation Thread
Reivax_Villa replied to kevangrealish's topic in Other Football
He wasn’t very good today and it doesn’t worry me because he played 90 minutes again. Jack began his career as a premier league player and he has scored at this level and dominated top quality players in an FA Cup semi final.. He will show his worth. -
Fans that think that we are going to finish in the top 8 are going to be in for a big shock. Teams like Leicester, Wolves,Watford are different gravy when it comes to attacking play and scoring. We will now tomorrow where we are in terms of quality. But I still think attacking wise need more.

Dan Bardell has said on Villa View that Maupay is our fall back striker. He is suggesting that we are going for a “Very Ambitious Big Swoop” Striker. I wonder who that could be..

This defence will leak a lot of goals this season..
-
Grealish will be used on the wing occasionally this season. Against better opposition in away games I can see it being a midfield three of Nakamba, Douglas and McGinn. Grealish and El Ghazi would interchange on both sides of the pitch.

Mings, McGinn & Grealish would not get into any top 6 side. They need to prove themselves at this level first.

If the reports are true about Nakamba then a part of me will feel indifferent about his professionalism. Look at Butland. Stoke are holding him ransom yet he is remaining professional and he has a lot more to lose than Nakamba.

If he signs I honestly can see him starting alongside Mings against Spurs. He is strong in his tackle, physically imposing, and he can score from set pieces. He is decent on the ball too. Another high potential player. If he has a good season he will be worth 30M.

I wonder if we’re going to play three at the back then? if we sign another centre back I cannot see us playing 4 at the back.

Realistically what teams are we looking to take points from? Bournemouth,Brighton, Burnley, Crystal Palace, Newcastle, Norwich, Sheffield United, Watford??

Tyrone is worth 20 million to us. He understands the club, fans and knows the coaching staff. The coaching staff feel that he is worth that amount. I’m happy with this.

Personally I would be happy to see Sturridge at Villa but this is down to me being biased towards him. A young lad from Hockley that’s achieved a lot to return to a local club in Aston Villa. I will say though he is not the signing we need especially for the demand in wages. its a nothing story

Good signing because he will help the new Spanish players settle.
-
How has he been at Chelsea for so long . He is nearly 26 and not one 1st team appearance.

We will need to sign a wealth of players in time for pre season. Interestingly enough we don’t know our actual transfer budget. I would also add that signing a player for £15m could mean we make payments in yearly instalments which would not affect the transfer budget deeply.

If Chelsea were willing to sell Abraham in January to Wolves then they are likely looking to sell this summer. There are valid points above. We just need to purchase the right players to supplement him.
-
Do you think that he is capable of scoring 10 goals in the premier league?
-
A new villa is being built.. all before Pre Season. im excited. The departing players have help rebuild this club. Whelan, Jedinak, Elphick, Adomah & Hutton were honest professionals players. Something that we haven’t had for years. They have left a legacy for the type of mentality that we want in our dressing room.

I just hope that we sign some wide players with electric pace and trickery . We will struggle to score if we have slow wingers or attackers.

Soo would you keep him? I think Whelan will get another year. But Grealish, Chester, Mings & McGinn set the standard. We also have a back room staff that is part of the culture here.

Confirmed by Alberts brother. We saw the best of him last season. Wonderful spirt for this club. Wish him all the best.
