mjmooney Posted November 3, 2013 VT Supporter Share Posted November 3, 2013 Well (playing a straight bat on this one), based on what I know, I'd slot them in between the 70s and 90s (would have liked the 40s provided I was guaranteed to survive WWII).

Dr_Pangloss
Pulp Fiction trumps all of those films. Back to the Future > Pulp Fiction Good film but VERY overrated. Both sequels sucked. I have so much work to do but football -> football -> NFL -> NFL -> bed NFL would put me to bed as well. Yes, it's shit isn't it.

villaajax
It is. If you have a 'sport' where the constant adverts are the highlight of the whole ordeal, it can't be that great.
StefanAVFC
It is. If you have a 'sport' where the constant adverts are the highlight of the whole ordeal, it can't be that great. Such a shallow perception.
mjmooney Posted November 3, 2013 VT Supporter Share Posted November 3, 2013 I'd rather watch NFL than cricket.
villaajax
I've given it a chance on 3 occasions and it was so pitiful. I sat through all 6 years of the last Ashes test at work and that is edge of the seat stuff by comparison.
Dr_Pangloss
Every time I've watched NFL I've come down with narcolepsy

StefanAVFC
I've given it a chance on 3 occasions and it was so pitiful. Lets be fair here. You had a perception of the game so you never gave it a fair chance or got past those prejudices.

CarewsEyebrowDesigner
It depends when you watch NFL. During the season-season, it is quite watchable, but as soon as it gets into 'post-season' (or whatever it is) knockout rounds and quarter-finals, culminating in the Super Bowl, it is borderline unwatchable because there are too many adverts, and it is just far too corporate and sanitised. mjmooney Posted November 3, 2013 VT Supporter Share Posted November 3, 2013 I don't know whether MLB is baseball or basketball (and ICBA to Google). Baseball I can take in VERY small doses, but basketball is beyond the pale for pointlessness.
Dr_Pangloss
NFL > MLB True, the only thing more boring than American Football in this world is Baseball. I once watched the San Francisco Giants play, it was absolutely brutal, the night was saved by the fact that I had a beautiful view of the bay from where I was sitting. Avfc96
I watched the super bowl last year and I just couldn't get into it. It was just too stop start and the constant adverts and going back to the studio was pissing me off.
