mjmooney Posted February 4, 2013 VT Supporter Share Posted February 4, 2013 I think hairdressers should be excluded from this; they ALL seem to be obsessed with bad puns.

hogso
There's a hairdressers in Beduff called Curl Up and Dye. Although there are numerous ones around the world ofc, as one of my favourite bands got their name from such an establishment in USA. Not a shop, but there is a fleet of industrial drainage cleanings truck things round here that are called 'Suck-cess'
The_Rev
There's a hairdressers in Beduff called Curl Up and Dye. All hairdresser shop names have to be puns. It's the law or something. Speaking of amazing puns, there is a chicken joint on Kent Road in Gornal named with a pun so delicious you could almost eat it. KENT'S TUCK INN FRIED CHICKEN. It's beautiful. It's not just a shitty joke, they figured out how to rip off the name of most famous fried chicken chain in the world in a perfectly legitimate way. I hope the man who thought of the name was rewarded in a way that his genius clearly deserves. (Google Maps)

Chindie Posted February 4, 2013 VT Supporter Share Posted February 4, 2013 Always a favourite. On the hairdressers thing, Rev's right - it's such a truism that hairdressers almost always have pun names that Pratchett and Gaiman made it the subject of a footnoted joke in the (frankly brilliant) book Good Omens.
