Lead Vocalist - Jeff Buckley

Rhythm Guitarist - Lee Ranaldo

Lead Guitarist - J Mascis

Bass Guitarist - Kim Deal

Drummer - Dave Grohl

Me likes! Was going to make one and would have never put J Mascis in it but he fully deserves to be! Awesome guitarist!

No doubt about it, the man can shred. Was a toss up between him and his mate Thurston Moore. Gave J the edge, plus I already went for his band mate, Lee Ranaldo on Rhythm.

TBH I'm not really a huge Smile fan. What I DO like though, is the 'Brian solo at the piano, plus trumpet' version of 'Surf's Up' from those sessions. Columnated ruins domino, and all that.

Aye, from a 1966 Leonard Bernstein TV documentary

That's the one. It's brilliant.

Yeah, it's hard to think of a guitarist, who you'd consider bad. It's an instrument that you've got to have at least some proficiency in, to be able to play it for a living. The Quo were just an easy target I suppose.

I think I'd go with Effects Pedal Knob.

****, no. He was a bit wobbly in the very early days, true, but he quickly developed a very distinctive and classy style (including on slide guitar). Listen to his solo on 'Give Me Love' for example. Lead guitar is not all Steve Vai and Joe Satriani.

Difficult thread

Its like asking about your ideal 5 aside team which would of course be Messi Zidane Maradona Pele and Salifou

In reality they would probably get mullered by Keane Boban Mcgrath John fashanu and Shaun Teale

Jimi Hendrix on guitar for a start though, anyone who says anything different is an idiot
