Aslo, if this is all 'smoke and mirrors' then it clearly wasn't worth it as not being open with the media/fans has cost the board a lot of brownie points. People used to like us.

Peter Pannu will say anything to try and get money. He will probably say his mother was there too. Don't you get it Pannu wants money, he's desperate for it, their club are financially **** and now trying to say they want 5million for their manager.

indeed. and also what better way to deflect attention away from the real reason he left (which is because you have no money and you are selling the best players without his say) by blaming your local rivals.

there is no proof at all randy went to meet mcleish before he resigned. from our VT planespotter we have heard the plane when to corsica, but did not stay, it came straight back suggesting it was dropping someone off (GH to his holiday home perhaps?). Certainly doesn't sound like it was there long enough for a meeting. and given how villa have acted for the whole of the manager search, i cant see them suddenly doing things illegally.

sounds like Pannu and the other clowns at blues are panicking about their image to the blues fans and have gone making accusations to villa based on paper talk. giving it the "we will not be bullied, we want compensation" in a desperate attempt to sound like they are in control of things. Villa have just sent back a simple "whatever, he resigned so we can talk to him if we wish". that doesnt mean we will talk to him.

oh, and in typical classless blues style it seems they have leaked that response to the press in another desperate attempt to make villa the bad guys.

If it was just rumour the club would have denied it at least via the indirect source of the birmingham mail. It's not a rumour.

These 2 posts sum up my feelings at present.

Whatever happens now, it's been a poor show from the board, which will only be justified if someone like Moyes comes in, which is frankly unrealistic.

What has happened so far is that BCFC contacted us asking us what our position on McLeish was now he had resigned. We e-mailed back saying that as he was a free agent we could speak to him if we wished to.

Why on earth would BCFC do that?

Because they suspecting/knew we had an interest.

Randy went to Corsica to speak to AM before he quit.

We know that RL's jet went to Corsica.

McLeish is on holiday in Italy.

So it's a bit like Mr Lerner going to Peterborough to interview someone who lives in Dusseldorf...........

McLeish is on holiday in Italy.

IIRC McCleish is/was actually in Sardinia...

That's the problem this is all being done with various people possibly still on holiday leaving the natives baying for blood over

rumours, statements, threats and dodgy british press reports.

Exactly what do you believe is not a rumour?

That the board intend to speak to McLeish about the vacant villa job.

When you read what Pingu is saying in the press you realise that that shit club are run by complete **** dick heads.

I got an email from Aston Villa, finally replying to all of our queries," confirmed Pannu.

"As expected, their legal department said 'now Alex McLeish is a free agent having resigned, we're free to speak to him'. This confirms all suspicions. This shows what has happened.

All this shows is that AV sent an email in response to another email

"The urgency of the whole thing, with this email from Aston Villa, shows they can't even wait 17 days when the compensation is lower. It shows what this is all about.

Why would any business pass up the oportunity to save £2.4m for the sake of 17 days. With all due respect I can't see AM being snatched from under our noses even if we were in for him

"I'll be reporting what's happened to the Premier League. This is like conspiracy to defraud.

"It's borderline criminal. That's how strong I'll put it."

This isn't like anything other than defamation of character and RL should sue the smelly clearing in the woods.

If the club are aware that people are going to be protesting tomorrow it may force them to release a statement to prevent it if they aren't interested. This could work against the club though if they are working on someone else and it all comes out in the press because of this. If we don't hear anything today then I think we can assume that we are in for him. As a club we would look stupid if we got fans protesting over someone who we aren't particularly interested in if we have other targets!

Just makes me wonder exactly what sort of power Al-Fayed has over Randy. Did he teach Karate as a teenager Mr Miyagi style?

So we don't go for Jol, a free agent who would have been welcomed by a good % of fans, probably because Fulham were after him. And now that they have their 1st choice from last season, we still can't talk to Mark Hughes about the Villa job. Why show Fulham so much respect yet we shit on Peter Pannu's doorstep?

This is exactly the way I see it, unless Randy has an ace up his sleeve, I fear a serious backlash from the fans.

What with his track record of appointing poor managers at Browns, I'm not that confident with the situation at our place right now. I for one will wait untill we appoint the new manager before the purchase of my season ticket.

So what do we actually KNOW?

1. We have a vacancy

2. We have contacted several clubs and potential candidates about said vacancy

3. One potential candidate declined to be interviewed.

4. RL is in Corsica.

5. AM is believed to be in Sardinia

6. DM is in the Caribbean.

7. There was an FB post allegedly from the General (although noone can link to it) that implied that AM is being considered.

8. The media know most of the above

9. Birmingham is in uproar

Is that about it.

Not really much to get upset about when you look at it like that.

Ring ring, ring ring

Villa: Hello Alex.

Alex: Hello Villa.

Villa: We dont want you as our manager and are just communicating this fact to you, your previous employer have tried to make it bigger than it is, our apologies but you know they like playing in muck.

Alex: Thank you, I would like to be considered though....

Villa: Tough titty you wont be.

There you go Villa spoken to McLeish.

Ok, Mcleish becomes manager....

What would that entail for him, exactly?

I genuinely beleive, that the hate coming from the knuckle dragging scum, he would be putting his own safety on the line, by just popping down the shop for a paper.

Then, theirs our lot. He will be under pressure from the off, and the first to blame for everything that goes wrong. Two defeats away from getting some very serious grief.

Does the man himself really want that??

I see. What evidence, other than supposition, is known that the board want to approach McLeish?

I love the way he spouts the urgency of the thing from our side/

Erm.. you cheeky word removed, you admit that WE replied to YOUR queries. Where's the **** urgency in politely ANSWERING YOUR **** EMAIL!?!?!

No wonder McLeish **** off. First working with the pornodwarf, werewolf and slagggg, and now these ****' idiots.

Wouldn't surprise me if he's said to fat Paul that he'll work for **** all to get away from the jokers.

Pannu's comments smack of a kid throwing his toys out of his pram. If he's so confident of Villa's tapping up then report us. Go on sunshine, ****' report us, and while you're at it publish our email?!
