Not picking on you, Kurt. But I hate that when someone misses one of those chip penalties they get described as an idiot. Townsend and Strachan were really hammering the guy on ITV last night.

You score, you're a genius. You miss and you're an idiot.

I hate that too and not just for those type of penalties.

Pirlo, Yorke, Zidane may have been very good players, but their chip penalties aren't particular genius to me. They just take a lot of balls and luck. I still think a professional footballer should be able to put them fairly close to a top/bottom corner where a keeper has little chance of getting a strong hand to them.

Yeah I agree.

It's like when a player actually takes a pretty shit penatly but the keeper goes the wrong way. Yet the commentator declares "Great penalty"

It's NOT a great penalty, if the keeper had guesses the right way he'd have easily saved it.

Pazzini hat-trick! :D
Great player, glad Milan got him. Still doesn't change the fact they were actually quite lucky to get the win, I don't even think they'll get the CL spots this year, if they do it's more down to the lower Serie A being about the level of the championship rather than Milan being particularly good.

Completely agree with this. The inability of some of the commentators to differentiate between good and bad penalties is infuriating.

Pazzini's 3rd was class by the way. I love them kind of finishes.

Pretty much.

Juve are leagues ahead of the rest and are a genuinly class team for me. Inter and Napoli look strong in comparison to the rest of Serie A and there's always going to be one from Lazio/Roma/Udinese who're going to push for a CL spot. Milan could be in trouble of missing out with only 3 spots.

Pazzini's 2nd and 3rd goals show what a great poacher he is. Always loved him, even at Inter, great fox in the box.

Milan's new highly rated kid, M'baye Niang, has got himself in a bit of trouble.

Apparently he was driving without a license when the police stopped him. He told them he was Bakaye Traore. Then they escorted him back to his hotel, where he showed them his ID which obviously showed that he is indeed not Traore, but Niang. So driving without a license and then lying to the police.

And they say footballers are stupid?

Interesting graphic detailing all of the Serie A players salaries. Interesting that if you're a so called legend or an important member of the national team then you are given the top bracket wages. Also interesting to see that now Ibra has left Milan they are saving 12m euros a year and Silva leaving saves them 8m euros.

anyway, here it is;

salaries

Some of the clubs that do well such as Lazio and Udinese have very low wage bills too.
