dudevillaisnice
I've always rated Clark. What a waste leaving him on the bench for nearly half of the season.I agree. With Collins and Warnock having been both very poor all season, I can't understand how Clark hasn't displaced one of them in the team. Agree. villanfromluton
I am sure Collins could have picked up that ball on the half way line and ran it into the net. Know that is not a centre halfs main job, but when we are at home to the likes of Swansea, footballing sides, Clark would be a great asset there NOW
CI
His time has arrived, step aside Collins or Warnock
Rodders
aside from the goal, what did he actually do? Granted it was a well taken goal but I must ocnfess I barely noticed him today.
villanfromluton
I agree, he has to have a place in the team somewhere

Not noticing a defender isn't always a bad thing, I mean I bet you noticed Dunne didn't you? Exactly. You have a point, he didn't have much to do today so too much shouldn't be read into his defensive performance. More difficult tests are ahead for the lad but there is a talent there that much is clear. Personally I'd rather have him in my team than Collins or Dunne any day of the week. villanfromluton
Rodders, thought he did a decent job in the middle of the field to be honest.
CI
Most of Gareth Barry's games go unnoticed yet he's a world class midfielder
villanfromluton
CI, world class is a bit above his ability, but a top player IMO
HackneyVillain
Thought he was good in possession, broke up their sporadic attacks well and generally contributed as much as anyone to our dominating the game. True the opposition weren't much but he did all that was asked of him and did it in an assured manner.

villanfromluton
CI, Des Bremner is a legend to me. There again, did you see his first game at home to Arsenal when Mike Pejic made his debut as well, he looked pissed as fcek lol
YankeeinMadrid
Most of Gareth Barry's games go unnoticed yet he's a world class midfielder Unless you're being sarcastic, I respectfully disagree. He's above average, but in my opinion nowhere near world class. Back on topic, I think that Clark is a good CB and has potential to become a great CB (see Pique). I don't think he'd ever be more than a stopgap, so-so CM (which is what he is now IMO).
sonic_bouma
im with rodders...good goal but i don't even notice he is on the pitch most of the time... he isn't mobile enough to be a central mid IMO.... Petrov covers way more ground and he is often described as past it and knackered half of the time on here!.... he does the simple things well...gets the ball and passes it 3 yards... but personally im looking for more from a player in that position... barry is a class above clark and always will be.... just coz hes got a left foot doesn't make them similar
Dodgyknees
Broke up play brilliantly yesterday and played sImple passes into players feet and didnt lose the ball. The opposite of what Delph has been slated for imho.
PIW
Most of Gareth Barry's games go unnoticed yet he's a world class midfielder Except for his time at Villa. When he played in midfield he was an attacking midfielder. as for Clark he's doing okay but I think he needs to be a little more mobile and play with a little more urgency. Certainly deserves to be in the team. Disagree with him at the back mind. I think he's a little too lightweight.
theboyangel
A definite player for us in the future and I can see him being captain in a few years. Speaks well, conducts himself well and always gives it his all. Great to see those attributes in a 'young' professional
chappy
Barely noticed him until the stunning goal. But personally I think that's a good thing, kept us ticking over with the minimum of fuss. Future captain for me.
