uncy_chris
I didn't see the game - but Blackburn beat Arsenal last weekend so they came into this game in form and with nothing to lose. We might not have played well but to be honest the season's been pretty good overall. We've finished above Liverpool and managed to maintain a race for top 4 all season, whilst doing well in 2 cups. We've finished with a better points total than last year (best since the early 90s I think?) Let's not get too depressed by one result and consider the fact that Villa under MON and Lerner is the best period of league campaigns we've had in years. Here's hoping Randy backs MON in the summer and we bring in some quality to replace the deadwood.
Mantis
if anybody offers moneyfor MON, get rid and bring in Hodgson - a proper tactician !Here we go again - routine calls for the sack because we didn't win. Why do people keep on saying it sums up our season? It doesn't even sum up our home season.
Sani
Downing is one of the worst buys ive seen in years. What a pathetic excuse for a player, he cant dribble, he never shoots, his crossing is poor and the worst of all.....he is so weak its embarrasing. villadude
What a shit way to end the season. No point in picking out any players in particular, they were all wank! Well done Hull!
rjshare
Summed up the season today ! 25 crosses - all dire. Blackburn's one cross is quality and they score. Half-time - game is complete stalemate - Allardyce changes tactics, MON does bugger all because he only has one tactic. Defeat was inevitable and deserved ! Shed load of new forwards needed, Young needs to be traded for loads of £££ and if anybody offers moneyfor MON, get rid and bring in Hodgson - a proper tactician ! So get rid of someone who's got indifferent home form for someone who can't win an away game? Great tactician.. except in europe of course... (and he is using a team made up of our cast offs and other assorted freebies)

R.I.C.O.
what if randy considers mon to be part of that deadwood? Can't see that happening, I'd be shocked if he did get the tin tack. MON will probably be offered a transfer kitty but it wont be quite as large as previous years.

srsmithusa
Here's hoping Randy backs MON in the summer and we bring in some quality to replace the deadwood. what if randy considers mon to be part of that deadwood? Then we're screwed. We need a scrappy forward that makes all the runs a forward should make. Nobody consistently makes the runs to get on the end of the good crosses we make. A fair number of our "poor crosses" are because the ball is being "forced" in. Why are we trying to force balls in rather than making the simple cross? No-one is consistently making the runs to where a really good cross would land.
Reality
Downing pathetic performanc again. Hardly surprising.

mozyFresh
They played like they didn't care (except the substitutes). Milner was a liability in the first half  Finished the season they way they started it. It's lucky Liverpool are sh*t

AVFC-Prideofbrum
Walked out at half-time? Pointless and fairly pathetic don't you think? It was 0-0 at ho e 45 minutes gone and you walked out? Wish all fans we had kept that attitude. Poor performance, oh well. Not too bothered.
chris_avfc
Blackburn were so shit today its mad how we didnt even get a point. Voted Jimmy motm, looked knackered but he is just so quality on the ball its a pleasure to watch him, Gabby as usual was making the dumbest runs, he really is thick as ****, Carew looked like he had his mind elsewhere, he was dire, and Downing was **** shit aswell. Oh well, 6th again, we've improved our home record slightly but we still arent good enough going forward at home, but im a happy man. Well done lads. briny_ear
Here's hoping Randy backs MON in the summer and we bring in some quality to replace the deadwood. what if randy considers mon to be part of that deadwood?Pretty sure he would recognise that would be a really massive retrograde step, which would take us firmly backwards. The sort of knee-jerk reaction that, fortunately, only usually gets contemplated seriously in internet fairyland.
andym
load of crap all we ever do is get it wide and lump in crosses. yeah thats gonna work against samba and nelsen who are good in the air! big summer for MON. the most important thing is to sort out tactics. because at the moment teams know how to play us at home and the football is awful. theres no point signing a top class striker if your just gonna punt the ball up to him or lump in aimless crosses
