theunderstudy
Predictably struggling to get Head out. No idea why we're bowling crap at them. They'll just knock Moeen around instead of skying him

PaulC
We hsve got ourselves back in the game through good persistent bowling. A good spell from Moeen too. Keeping one end tight so the seamers could rotate. Fancy our chances of chasing down anything up to about 300, it's what we are good at.

bannedfromHandV
If there is any play today you’d fancy it will favour the bowlers, could be pivotal in how the game ends up similar to that silly 20 minutes England had to play in the first test and when they lost some key wickets. Rodders
Wicket for Woakes early on. Mitch Marsh out, good stuff. If we can make inroads and keep a lead below 240, 250 you'd have to fancy us, assuming rain holds off next two days
theunderstudy
Need to weasel these two and Cummins out. And Starc can flog it so with some clever bowling we can get a chaseable target. Whether our idiot batters can chase it down without pulling everything up in the air and being all out for 150 is another matter

bannedfromHandV
Due to start raining there again soon (according to met office), one more before the end of play would be great!
theunderstudy
Starc out. Cummins and Head in the middle with Murphy and Boland to come. Get these cheaply lads
theunderstudy
Literally just been talking on Sky about how Bairstow needs to stand further over if they're trying to catch Head on the leg side. And the blockhead still doesn't move over and another goes through him. Honestly done with him
PaulC
Very Interesting. Bit concerned if we have to bst again although Head is doing serious damage
rjw63
251 to win ? Sounds easy. It won’t be .
andym
Ball was hooping around, would be difficult for test match openers with good line and length bowling So lets keep banging it in short to Head and watch as he hits it into the stands. I know its just continuing a tactic they did for him in previous tests, but adapt to the conditions. He was ready for the short stuff and took advantage. Thats said, 250 is gettable even playing super cautiously with the time left. Even defensive pushes are flying to the boundary with the quick outfield so no reason to do stupid stuff. theunderstudy
Yeah really not a clue why we didn't double up with Broad and Woakes and swing it around Head, who can't seem to resist nicking off. Instead we run Mark Wood into the ground bowling short balls at Travis Head who can just slog 6s. Target 250ish meaning we have to hope the Chuckle Brothers resist tossing their wickets away in the next half an hour
