Thanks, I'll be more Sutil next time.

Sorry, but thats the 3rd time I've seen the 'Sutil' pun used by you. You lose

Different thread. Different rules.

These German jokes are putting the ki-bosch on humour.

I do not feel good at all. :x

Is that because we didn't meet? And now you may have missed your chance forever?

I did on the other hand stand and sit very close to Lombardo. I'm guessing it was Lombardo. He was a giant and seemed vaguely familiar and was around the airport after our flight landed and was with one male accomplice, possibly his friend.. I had to try to imagine what the person I saw would look like blurry and I'd say it was almost definitely him.

We stood outside a bathroom/wudu together. Then waited for the airport shuffle together. Then got onto the same carriage together. And sat across from each other (together).

No introductions were made and I refused all attempts at eye contact.

Yes, not meeting you completely ruined the game. :( I was waiting with a bag of MnMs as well.

That and the fact despite spending very little, I got very drunk and my leg really really hurts.

Soooooo, nothing was thrown, no pictures were taken, and no love connection was made. WOW! I mean talk about your let downs.

Aaaw no bromantic cuddling?

I barely watched the match at all looking for any sign of a green hoody, but no joy. I think Liverpool is my next game, so fingers crossed...

I said green COAT not hoody!

I knew I could sense a Yillan around me somwhere over there but as I didn't have a clue what you looked like, it failed miserably... Eye contact should have been made... It would have been the highlight of my trip...

Oh, went into the family fun day thing in the academy, they had a life size John Carew on the wall with a question beside it, are you taller than Big John... I stood beside it and I was.... Epic!

Why did they have a Stoke player in there?

And did you see Mike Bradley?

So you were unaware of all of this?

I really do live inside my own head. You were wearing a red jacket. Your friend I think had an English accent and was unshaven. He had black hair and was considerably shorter than you. Am I close?

Ok work this one out..

My Mum's next door neighbours lost their very cute kitten a few weeks ago... from their back garden in Great Barr not too far from Junction 7 of the M6. Fortunately she'd been chipped...

Fluffy has finally turned up after being found by a very kind couple who have become very attached to it...wait for it... IN CUMBRIA!!!

They took it to the Vet who was able to identify the microchip..and the owners traced.

No it wasn't me!! .... Who the hell would take a kitten up the M6 and then dump it 200 miles away?!!!

I'm sure I had a mild hangover this morning despite not drinking any beer last night. Perhaps my heroic combination of superbowl snacks conspired against me in the night.

A question...

The sun we see everyday is a star. Each solar system has a central point being a star or 'sun'. So for every star we see in the night sky, im guessing that that star is a sun for a solar system? For every solar system thaere will be planets orbiting that sun. Do we think there is a planet like Earth in every solar system?

Aw jeez, there's a huge body of literature on this.

The answer so far appears to be "mostly, no". But they have come across one or two outside bets, and more will probably turn up.

Example:

Gliese 581g: the most Earth like planet yet discovered

By Richard Alleyne, Science Correspondent 10:00PM BST 29 Sep 2010

A team of planet hunters has announced the discovery of Gliese 581g, an Earth-sized planet orbiting a nearby star at a distance that places it squarely in the middle of the star's "habitable zone," where liquid water could exist on the planet's surface.

If confirmed, this would be the most Earth-like planet yet discovered and the first strong case for a potentially habitable one.

The relative speed and ease at which it was found also suggests there are millions of others waiting to be discovered.

"Our findings offer a very compelling case for a potentially habitable planet," said Professor Steven Vogt at the University of California.

"The fact that we were able to detect this planet so quickly and so nearby tells us that planets like this must be really common."

The findings are based on 11 years of observations at the W. M. Keck Observatory in Hawaii.

"Advanced techniques combined with old-fashioned ground-based telescopes continue to lead the exoplanet revolution," said

Prof Vogt and Paul Butler, of the Carnegie Institution in Washington, team's new findings are reported in a paper to be published in the Astrophysical Journal.

The paper reports the discovery of two new planets around the nearby red dwarf star Gliese 581.

The most interesting of the two new planets is Gliese 581g, with a mass three to four times that of the Earth and an orbital period of just under 37 days.

Its mass indicates that it is probably a rocky planet with a definite surface and that it has enough gravity to hold on to an atmosphere, according to Prof Vogt.

Gliese 581g is located 20 light years away from Earth in the constellation Libra.

The planet is tidally locked to the star, meaning that one side is always facing the star and basking in perpetual daylight, while the side facing away from the star is in perpetual darkness.

The researchers estimate that the average surface temperature of the planet is between -24 and 10 degrees Fahrenheit (-31 to -12 degrees Celsius).

Actual temperatures would range from blazing hot on the side facing the star to freezing cold on the dark side.

The surface gravity would be about the same or slightly higher than Earth's, so that a person could easily walk upright on the planet, Prof Vogt said.

We know that there isn't. In fact it's only very recently (i.e. they're very very far away) that we've found any earth-like candidates. So no, while we're not unique, we have up to now been quite rare.

According to a BBC article in the last week we're now up to 80-odd candidates.
