Spurs have just tied up a deal for a defensive midfielder - the first fruits of our new partnership arrangement with the Brazilian club Internacional.

His name is Sandro - Brazil's U-20 captain and now recently capped for their senior squad. Not sure of the fee - around 7m maybe, but that figure is yet to be confirmed. He should be at the Lane to watch our game against Wolves.

Of course it remains to be seen how quickly (or not) he is brought into the first team matchday squad and how well he'll adapt to the Prem.

What the feck happened to this then? Them COYS ITKers have a 100%, faultless, perfect record on matters like this I thought.

Maybe he's stuck with 'the real' Tuncay (who we had signed according to them) in the Twilight zone.

Like Glaston said, he was at the game against Wolves! :winkold:

I'd hope if he was there, that he'd signed before witnessing that! Or he'd be straight back to Brazil!

Sandro's proposed move to Tottenham looks to be off after Internacional stated he would not be leaving this month.

Spurs have been chasing the 20-year-old since last summer and he was expected to move to White Hart Lane during the current transfer window.

But problems appear to have arisen over a proposed link-up between the two clubs.

"Sandro is not moving in this transfer window," Inter's vice-president Fernando Carvalho told Radio Gaucho.

Invented

"The partnership with Tottenham has not been finalised, there are a number of details which we did not sign up to.

"Sandro's exit could only have happened if this was in place.

"He will now play in the Libertadores for Inter, it may come in August that he will move to Europe - but that could be true of any of our players."

Sandro's agent Luiz Chignoli also denied reports in England that he had agreed terms with Spurs over the move.

"It is not true," he insisted.

"The English press has invented that Sandro has had medicals in England too."

That's a great bit of 'ITK' from Glaston haha.
That is not fair. You need to go easy on him. Afterall he did tell us that SWP was in advanced stages of negotiation with spuds

Oh yeah, how do you think its going? Glaston, when do you expect that deal to be concluded?

Maybe just after Richard Dunne makes his first appearance for them?
