Thought I would give him a thread as he's doing very well, was already playing for our U21s last season as a U16 and also played in EFL Trophy against first team opposition, was rumoured to be going to Chelsea but signed his scholarship with us,  and has continued playing for the U21s this season as first year scholar and has been one of the standouts.

And has now received a call-up to the England U18 squad

One of only 4 players this season who has started every game in the 3 competitions. Along with Tommi O'Reilly, Rico Richards & Josh Feeney. He's already integral to the u21 side, as a 17 year old.

He plays right back for the u21s.

Seems to be developing physically at a rapid rate this season and that bit of added power is definitely adding something to his game - he's done well so far this term.

I think that list just shows how hard it is to make it at the top level. Going back through the years, there are so few who made it at their prem club.

Even smashing at U18 and U21 level isn't a given.

I was looking at the list of all time PL u18 goalscorers and someone called Reo Griffiths from Spurs scored 34 goals in 34 goals In the u18 PL at the age of 17. FhYs impressive. He's now 23 and at Doncaster and yet to play a game.
