Thought it was a strange decision to take off Myles Sohna and replace him with a left back when defending a lead, especially as Bogarde doesn't usually play as a centreback himself. Disappointing to drop the two points but there was some good individual performances, Chukwuemeka probably the standout, thought Ramsey got better as the game went on, perhaps should have had a shot towards the end rather than pass to Kesler, Myles Sohna quietly had a decent steady game as well, especially as he's only recently come back from long term injury, which might explain why they brought him off.

To be fair every player showed at least some decent quality at times during the game, all look to have potential.

Belated Palace stats added.  Leeds have since won again and Reading win 5-2 to jump into 2nd with a game in hand.

Of note, this was our youngest league side of the season with an average starting 11 of 18.05y/o beating the 18.23 of the side who lost to Reading on 29/01 by 66 days.  Selections of note were Marschall's first time on the pitch in any competition for the u23s this season having been an unused substitute 8 times previously.  The return of JPB who last appeared on 18/12.  Harrison Sohna's first start since 13/12 and the first time this season he has started alongside his brother.  And finally a first start in the league for Bradley Young. His only previous start being the 3-1 reverse to Carlisle in the EFL Trophy.

Next up is Wolves this Friday. We won the reverse fixture 3-1 in October with goals from Ramsey and Barry x 2.

I was looking forward to watching that, at least it might mean Barry could be available for whenever it's rescheduled.

Presumably the U18s game at home to Albion tomorrow morning will also be called off, they're already a couple of games behind a lot of other teams.

Three games today, all at 2pm.

Wolves(7) v Crystal Palace(3)
Newcastle(13) v West Brom(12)
Burnley(9) v  Middlesbrough(8)

A win for Wolves or Boro drops us (6th) down a place for each result. Burnley would need to win by 7 to do same.

Wolves overtake Palace and go 3rd with the win. They're 7 behind Stoke but they have 3 games in hand.  Newcastle win the battle at the bottom and move above West Brom into 12th and Burnley join us on 21pts and move above Boro into 8th place.

The next games are on Friday the 26th

12:00 Fulham(5) v Wolves(3)
14:00 Middlesbrough(9) v Norwich(10)

The battle to be top scorer is on now. Fulham's 18 year old Portuguese midfielder Fabio Carvalho and our own Louie Barry are currently joint top scorers on 10 goals. Fulham's Jean-Pierre Tiehi and Stoke's Ethan Varian are next on 8.
