Everton currently sitting top of what will remain of the PL once the big 6 move to the European Super League.

Best of the rest in 7th place.

People have been saying this for nearly 20 years. It's not going to happen. If for no other reason than no club wants to go from being a top club in their country that pays in the CL, to being the European whipping boys and nothing else every season.

Dominating the domestic leagues is very important for these clubs, they don't want their only games to be against other elite clubs.

I know they had a few injuries but that 11 Arsenal put out today must be one of the weakest they've put out since the mid 90s.

In it you had:

Jenkinson who flopped at SHA on loan last season and is just at Arsenal because he's a fan.

Mavarapanos....some young Greek kid who's played two games in a year.

Mustafi....imo the worst CB from the top 6 clubs.

Elneny- very mediocre centre midfield.

Guendozi- Young player who did well start of the season but struggled last few months.

It really wasn't that much stronger than Palace 11 at all.

Think Emery has done very well to keep them on verge of top 4. Man. United and Chelsea obviously have their issues but I think both had better 11s and squads than Arsenal, it's attitude with those two clubs.

wont happen for the simple fact that the leagues and clubs have been too greedy in their multiple global sponsorship deals, the top 6 all take the kings shilling and sign various contracts, there isn't enough money in the FIFA league thing to buy all of these clubs out of these deals and the stars will never align that each league and each deal expires at the same time

sky and BT don't just hand them 100m a year, they get them to sign a piece of paper at the same time, if they all jacked and went off to a world league which was based on separate TV rights then sky and BT would want their money back, they cant afford it

Know he's a bit of a melon but Merston made a good point where most pundits are saying how great a season spurs have had, but they've lost now 17 matches in all competitions including 12 in the league this season. That's a lot of football matches to lose, when we were finishing 6th we lost what 8?

Man Utd and Arsenal both lost tonight.

Nobody wants champions league football except Spurs.

Now Spurs seem to be doing the Liverpool style drop to 5th and get in CL by actually winning it method.

Spurs are just an anamoly. They have drawn ONE game in 36 matches. You have to go back decades in English football for a team who's drawn as few games as that.

Sometimes teams can get sucked into battling draws thinking it's enough but reality is six battling draws still equals out as the same as four poor defeats.
