The_Rev
Hometowns of Aston Villa players? Possibly today and back in the day, because Trinidad and Tobago is marked and we sold Dwight Yorke.

The_Rev
It was squads from the first season of the Premier League (1992/93) and the current one (2008/09) The grey dots outside of the UK for 92/93 would have been Dwight Yorke (Trinidad) Nigel Callaghan (Singapore) and Kent Nielsen (Denmark) It was published before we signed Richard Dunne. Mr_Dogg
Makes no sense why would there be a tick on Trinidad for Yorke and not one in Drogheda for Steve Staunton? Nor Medellín for JPA? Plus countless other players not represented. Here it is It doesn't cover the time of JPA or Staunton.

The_Rev
Human development league tables. Health, education, quality of life (etc) All very pretty and lots of things to press and slide. Probably not that surprising that the countries doing the best are north and west Europe, North America, Japan and Australasia.
The_Rev
This is pretty awesome Its a short movie of all the commercial flights in the world in a 24 hour period. Its great as it makes you realise a few things, firstly just how many flights there are, then you see the major international corridors and at what time of day the various corners of earth are busy. leviramsey Posted October 14, 2009 VT Supporter Share Posted October 14, 2009 I can spot at least one inaccuracy in there (and if Risso is reading this, I think he will as well).
The_Rev
The Isle of Man really is that far north though. Its almost equidistant from Stranraer, Belfast and Barrow. Whether it should be on the map given that the Channel Islands have been left off is debatable, but its a boring debate!
leviramsey Posted October 14, 2009 VT Supporter Share Posted October 14, 2009 The context of the map is the EU crushing Iceland... since IOM isn't actually part of the EU (have Awol and tony thought about moving there?) it doesn't belong there. leviramsey Posted October 14, 2009 VT Supporter Share Posted October 14, 2009 Of course, France's overseas departments have been left off, also, perhaps understandably.
