About when did you decide, "this is all shit" and stopped the video, Mike?

It's kind of striking that (unless one counts U2 and/or AC/DC as British) there were no British riffs (ignoring for the moment the attribution of "Pictures of Matchstick Men" to Camper Van Beethoven, though the Quo version was not a hit in the US, while the Camper Van Beethoven version was) between Dire Straits and Muse.

I watched it to the end, and I didn't think any of it was shit - a good riff is a good riff (although being pedantic, I would suggest some of those were licks rather than riffs).

But you're right that that I was completely familiar with every one up to about the three-quarter way mark, while many of the later ones meant absolutely zilch to me.

Wish I could play with that sort of ease. Little Hands of Concrete, that's me.
