  1. EEEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeekkkkkkkkkk!!!!!
  2. Can we stop calling him "Jihadi John" and start calling him "Jihadi murdering filth named Mohammed Emwazi from West London" now?
  3. Bangor City, who are going to get relegated. I'm waiting to see who persuades me out of my brother and his mate to win my affections over their respective Lisbon clubs....the first one to take me to Avalade or Luz wins I do have a Benfica top mind
  4. She sounded like a keeper Humph, she was. Life can be shit.
  5. I always thought that 'Swamp Thing' made a lot of people think they were a one-hit-wonder that disappeared off the face of the earth. The thing is, the rest of the tracks on that album are nowhere near as cheesy as that lead single. I'd already experienced quite a bit of their work before that single (I think it was a remix of an ambient track by the Orb that introduced me), but not many are aware of the pre-Grid association with Soft Cell and the subsequent outstanding work Norris has done with Erol Alkan in the Wizard's Sleeve remixes Edit - for the record, I also am a big fan of Warpaint so quids in here. Just bought the new LP, shrink wrap coming off tonight!
  6. This will be the only World Cup I won't be interested in, at all. I'm not reacting and pretending to be sticking to principals either here, I really just won't bother. The way it's been handled is taking the piss out of the world so badly I would actually feel wrong being a consumer of it.
  7. It's happening, they're moving it. The other bidders and UEFA leagues must be delighted. Nobody has kicked off yet, but someone is bound too. They'd better, so I can grab the popcorn and watch the fireworks
  8. What a choice...I used to play this fairly regularly used to be in my record collection but the Mrs at the time bought it so it went with her. Sad times!
  9. What a bizarre thread. I've never seen it before, but it wouldn't strike me as being out of character for the TOWIE type lot, what with crazy haircuts and tight fitting pink t shirts being all the rage in Essex
  10. It's pretty simple - FIFA have changed their own rules by moving. Australia would not have spent millions pitching a bid if the bid was for a tournament being held in November, during the Australian summer. Well, the might have but the temperature would have been a factor. Oh, actually it wouldn't seeming as a desert won the bid. Who knows? Make it up as you go along, so long as all the Fifa bods make a lot of money for themselves.
  11. (I'd like to add at this point Mike I don't actually find the pic that phunnay ) (double bracket, sorry donnie if we're still doing it)
  12. Two classics are: "My Grandad was from Manchester and supports Man City so I do too." Or... "I was born in Manchester and lived there until I was five so that's why I ended up supporting City". My favourite exchange with an arsenal boy, aged about 14. Boy spots villa shirt in the middle of Islington. "Mate, villa are shit" "I know that, I have to watch them every week." "Why don't you support someone good, like arsenal" "Because I'm from Birmingham, not here." "So?" "Where are you from?" "Mildmay Park, born and bred" "Why don't you support Chelsea?" "Cos I'm arsenal mate, it's round the corner you numpty" "Cool. I'm going to go home and you think about this conversation again" He didn't, he swore at me as I wandered off laughing
  13. Jays us this is turning into thom Yorke mark 2. As mentioned, she's a famous actress...the one from kick ass, and someone has spotted her and tried a cheeky snap...clearly to be busted by the flash
  14. What.......what is going on here........I don't understand
  15. ISIS are seemingly trying to infuriate as many people as possible. Infuriating Jordan to get a response out of them and then chopping off 20 people's heads in Libya...I guess it was cementing the alliance they have with the groups that took Benghazi. Everyone should just agree that there is only one common enemy here and wipe them out. Easier said than done of course.
  16. That's better. I'm properly stoked. Ooo-err dirty sod .... Sorry my bad thought you said stroked!!!
  17. Yeah! You wouldn't get villa fans singing about blues when we don't play them anymore!
  18. He took the job, which can only mean that fox played a total blinder to him because we're atrocious. I don't have a problem with him, I think he's what we need in an egotistical bellend to kick these players up the arse. I'm not too chuffed with a three year deal though, and I don't think he'll be here for all of it so we'll end up paying out compensation again but that's something to worry about at a later date. It's certainly not a natural fit, but let's see what he can do.
  19. Whadafuq Say United get Ancelotti that leaves Van Gaal needing a job, we might not get him ourselves but might get the guy who he replaces at some European club perhaps. That's what I meant by merry-go-round. Despite people making jokes about lack of Premier League experience I do have a feeling that we're going to pull a big name out the hat, my guess is Klinsmann. Either that or someone from leftfield. Oooookaaayy, must just be me then that doesn't see a fantasy future hypothesis as having any bearing on our search for a manager, I think you're fishing in the wrong pool dude It's only football so just a bit of harmless fun so if things don't go as I think then no harm done to me. But I do think we really could be getting a big name, you don't get rid of Lambert for just anyone. Rightyo I'm just kind of hoping that useless is joking with us, because it's fairly clear to see that Man United and Man City's situations with their respective managers doesn't have any impact on us. None. We don't get big names anymore useless. I hope you get the fact that in terms of prospective employers, we're on a par with Stoke City or Sunderland? Less in fact. But have you not read what I actually wrote? I'm not saying we'd get the United or City manager but perhaps the manager that maybe Van Gaal would replace at another European club if he were to leave United. And don't worry about what facts I get, it's only football : ) Oh no, I got the point you were making. Just to make my point clear though, I said their respective managerial situations do not impact us in any way. I mean, a knock on effect that renders a maybe up and coming manager at zenit St Petersburg or -take your pick in Europe- available means absolutely nothing to villa. Some are mentioning Klopp because of the current bundesliga status. Some are mentioning curbishley. Out of the two, and be honest, which do you thinking we'll end up with?

  21. A lot of betting companies suspend betting over night so they don't get had so I wouldn't read to much into it just yet Isa wins the aforementioned prize of being the first person to be told that betting gets suspended overnight. Tek a bow son!
  22. Saw Blackalicious last week at Jazz Cafe Camden. Shocking crowd, awesome live. Next up is Chris Clark and Vessels at Village Underground Shoreditch, Abdominal at Jazz Cafe and lastly Blues Pills at Academy Islington in April (thanks for the tip, Rob!) (sdonnie)
