  1. Cortese's name magically appearing then this Nike bloke....we're looking our marbles, clearly.
  2. A welcome return to form from our favourite 'keeper. edit- however, less of the Comic Sans gareth.
  3. In line with your avatar, *holds up sign reading APPLAUSE* any excuse... I'm shameless... I have a couple of backstage plates gruff drew a messed up donkey on for the projected camera to the audience. The ex Mrs has the yellow plastic toy thing he used to sing into. It was borrowed by them to go on tour
  4. In line with your avatar, *holds up sign reading APPLAUSE*
  5. Saw these boys at Field Day, I've been a fan of EL-P/Company Flow/Def Jux for some time. They were totally sick.
  6. And as for Albion you can't polish a turd. Manchester City were a bit of a turd, and they have been polished rather exquisitely.
  7. In the past couple of months they've lost land to the YPG, Assad & Hezbollah are about to push out from Aleppo, threatened Russia and are now threatening Israel. They may have been clever with some tactics, but threatening Russia and Israel is very, very stupid. Countries that don't abide with 'the rules' like most Western nations do are not who you want to be going for.
  8. So why the regret? Hmm. That's a bit more personal than I'd like to go for on a public forum I'm afraid
  9. I didn't talk about it with her, just went through a bad patch where it was all going to pot then called it. There's no rose tinted glasses with hindsight, believe me.
  10. Your experience is extremely similar to mine. Very, very similar. My recommendation is quite the opposite. I called the shot after 8 years (and after getting engaged), and with hindsight it was possibly the worst thing I have ever done in my entire life. Never recovered. Councilling. Open up your thoughts with her, directly. I mean, say "I'm thinking about it" to her. Explain the reasons why. Debate could have saved my life, I've been miserable for a long time since.
  11. Kit clearly needs the Sinclair logo on it.
  12. It is definitely about the 'moral hazard', which is that those who borrowed should pay back to ensure that all other subsequent borrowers don't feel free not to pay. But there is also a risk of moral hazard if those who loaned money recklessly and without due diligence are rewarded for that recklessness. The question is why lenders are expected not to be punished for their recklessness to avoid that particular moral hazard but borrowers are? Well, quite, it's definately wrong on both sides of the coin. They shouldn't be dishing out money, Greece shouldn't have asked for it. We're all idiots, basically!
  13. I don't see how the banking sector dishing out and refloating millions of pounds of debt that was extremely high risk due to Greece being too deep in the whole means the blame falls exclusively at their feet. Rather more subsequent Governments of Greece pretending they had a booming economy in 2004 because of financial controls not designed for their economy, then going absolutely mental with spending - especially kicked off by the Olympics which has seemingly brought them nothing in return. Banks short-sightedness due to inevitable greed is always going to be a given with human nature, but I think the moral of this disaster is don't spend money you don't have when there is absolutely northing wrong with your economy at the beginning.
  14. For some context, I kind of see him as the bits I skip through some Autechre because it's a bit too mad for me
  15. I have really really tried to get into Actress, but it just doesn't float my boat. I saw him live once as well...still nowt... Understandable. It's not exactly catchy. Hah, I see your point but at the same time I will point out we're talking about actress. It should be clear at this point that you're not talking to someone that listens to one direction for example!
  16. *beep beep* "Hello, Risso here. What's that Simon? Ah, sure..."
  17. Hmm. I know the name "Wendy James"....but it definitely shouldn't be in Smash Hits magazine.... TOP TIP: Don't Google at work.
  18. Austerity on its own doesn't work. The quicker everyone starts waking up to it, the better. It's a rock and a hard place though, isn't it? Austerity may not work, but there's nothing to counter it because there's no money, because the bailouts aren't enough.
  19. I have really really tried to get into Actress, but it just doesn't float my boat. I saw him live once as well...still nowt...
  20. Small LPs. Achievable by speeding up an albums worth of material to 330bpm. Come to think of it, maybe that's hoe happy hardcore came into being
  21. I'm a little surprised that Kraftwerk are being talked about as if they're some obscure band nobody's heard of.
  22. Roots manuva is a great choice as one of Britain's foremost innovators for UK hiphop. The only other pioneer would probably be Blade but to be honest his delayed effort as part of Mark B & Blade...I've never gotten into it. Revolver or abbey road by villatalk's favourite divisive band?
  23. If you're going hiphop I'd go for: Ugly duckling - journey to anywhere Wu tang clan - 36 chambers Raekwon - only built 4 Cuban linx Rock I'd probably go Qotsa - rated R Stone temple pilots - core Manic Street preachers - generation terrorists Though that is an everlasting list. Maybe something classic like Marvin gaye, zepplin. Or some dub classics like king tubby or Lee scratch Perry. Now I'm rambling.
